Game Thread W9 - Cincinnati V Baltimore (1 Viewer)

Looks like there is some wind in BAL - ball was blown off the kicking tee. Curious to see if this plays an impact during the game.

 
Brian Simmons stripped the ball out of Wright's hands and then Jenkins picked it up for BAL.Nice start for the Bengals D!

 
Wow, 2 straight sacks by the Ravens...doh!Palmer had a chance to get rid of the ball on both sacks, but didn't and took 7 yard losses on each.

I'm assuming that they've changed up the scheme a bit with Lewis out. Seems to play to the strength of some of the other players on D - not sure I'd say that it makes them better overall though.
 
One thing is obvious early in this game - the Bengals pass rush just isn't good enough right now. They aren't getting to Wright (except that one play) and he's getting the time to make the right reads. Hopefully the Bengals can adjust!

How's CJohnson looking? Any ill effects from the shoulder?

He's looked good evey time they've looked his way. The Bengals have only tried a deep pass once and that was to TJ.
 
Anthony Wright has to be the worst quarterback that ever played the game. On top of that the rest of this team should be completely dismantled. These guys have no desire to win. I can't root for a team like that.

You're clearly not watching me watching the game. I've seen every down. This team is playing with no heart or desire to win. The defense has lost all sense of dsicpline and is taking every dumb penelty they can think of. The offense is inside the two minute warning and shows no sense of purpose in getting to the line and making plays.

This team is clearly not giving the effort it's capable of. There's no way around that.

:ph34r: The D had one bad drive and they've done pretty well on all the others, despite the fact that they're without their 2 best players.

Seriously though, you don't like what you're seeing from Derrick Mason?

Thanks...I'd like for Chad to get into the endzone this week. He's been a bit disapointing of late.
 
Controversial call there...Bengals TE caught the ball and then fumbled,Baltimore recovered, but the ref inadvertantly whistled the play dead as the Baltimore defender returned it for a TD (as several CIN players looked on in confusion).Baltimore ball near midfield

Has Chris Perry been in the game much? Are the Bengals bringing him in at all on 3rd down or is this all Rudi today?

I was referring to the overturned TD. I was watching the TD come up on gamecenter, but when the extra point didn't come up I knew something was up. As a Palmer owner I got real excited followed by the huge disappointment.

He was bobbling the ball as he ran out of the back of the endzone.
 
Looks like Wright hurt his ankle - couldn't start the next play and went to the ground as the trainers came onto the fieldKordell Stewart warming up!!!ETA - announcers said that it looked pretty similar to what happened to Boller earlier in the year. Wright is hobbling off the field on his own - doesn't look so good. Boller is warming up as well, just in case (emergency QB)

Ravens were thisclose to completing a HB pass to Kordell. Crowd loved it, but alas it was incomplete. Randy Hymes over threw it by just a little - Kordell stretched out completely trying to snag it

 
What sucks is that the Ravens should be looking to go ahead right here, not bring the scroe to within one. The officiating in this game has been terrible.

Perry was about 1 inch away from a TD on a 3rd down carry. Johnson then took it the extra distance on 1st and goal for the score.
