Have I mentioned Peterman LEADS THE NFL in penalties this year?

I'm curious to see this Detroit offense. They lead the NFC in points, but aren't good at either passing or running. They rank 29th in yards per pass: they throw a lot (4th most) but not necessarily well. The Lions are 30th in yards per rush and 28th in rushing first downs.

Sure, most of those numbers came with Hill starting, but the same is true then of their high points totals. I expect the Jets D to play well today.

Lions look like greatest show on turf so far.
 
Jets had two bad penalties there...personal foul for hauling a OL (#57) off the pile after the play was over and defensive holding on 3rd and 9 from the 15

Yeah, Stafford made a bunch of nice throws on that one and the Lions WRs look good. Just one drive, though.

Anyone else have a good laugh @ Alfonso Smith's making the punting motion after he knocked the pas down. Way too funny! This is going to be a great game!

 
4 targets 2 catches for the TEs so far like to see that

Scheffler came up short though

Jets fumble on return but keep it (think the Terminator fell on it - is he #38?)

 
touches are Best 6 Smith 2 - but he's not been effective

couple incomplete passes to TEs think that is 6 targets for Pettigrew/Scheffler (3 each - but one was a penalty)

once again crappy kick coverage Jets have started past the 30 three times now

Lions special teams coverage has been horrible this year. That needs to change before we can can become a contender.
