Give me a break on that unnec. roughing call. Clemens slides and a guy falls on top of him and that's roughing? What a p*ssy league this is turning into. It's not like he ripped the guy's head off.

Those are the rules. A vet like London Fletcher should know better.

Why is it that everytime I read about the Redskins inept offense I hear that Sanders really is a genious but is having to be conservative due to injuries and an inexperience quarterback.

And yet, here are the Jets, who are 1-7 and giving a young QB his first start ever, and they are opening it up and it is paying off, at least so far.

What is wrong with Washington and what will it take for them to actually open up the offense. Even if they should happen to come back and win this game, with this offense, I can't see them beating anyone of note.

BTW, I am a Redskin fans so I'm not just trying to "hate" on the team, but as a fan who goes waaaay back with the team, it really frustrates me to watch them.

You really can't "open up your offense" when almost your entire o-line is injured.

I kind of hear you but on the other hand I also think that excuse is kind of wearing thin. I've also heard you can't open up the offense with an inexperiened QB and yet look at the Jets.I'm not saying if the Skins open it up they are going to go to beat every team on their schedule. But, I am saying that at a certain point, you have to take some chances and go for it. You can be mediocre for sure being overly conservative or you can take the chance opening it up and maybe be great and maybe blow a few games. I just think at a certain point they should "go for the gold." But, Gibbs is the expert so I'm sure everything I'm saying is just kind of stupid...M

I understand what you're saying, but I think that a lot of it has to do simply with results. For example....

The NE Pats throw a bunch of short passes all day, but go deep twice to Moss. Moss catches both passes for TDs. The Pats get thought of as a great offense with great play calling.

The Skins throw a bunch of short passes all day, but go deep twice to their Moss. Both are incomplete. The Redskins "never open up their offense."

29 carries... it's been a while since we last saw that behind Portis' name...(week 12 of the '05 season to be exact)
It's because I'm playing against him. FYI.er who is that total moron commentating......lol @ saying how the Jets should've been in a big hurry-up O w/4-5 mins left on the clock and them driving on the 35. I take it he was never a QB or coach.PS I hope Portis is mauled by a pit bull.

Portis was amazing today. Reminds me of the 2005 Portis when he carried the Redskins into the playoffs down the stretch.
