Game Thread Week 10 - San Francisco at Arizona (1 Viewer)

So no one thinks that was just a brainfart by the 9ers not to spike the ball? Just a conclusion that they were going for the element of surprise?
Could be. When they initially spiked it, that would have made it fourth down. Maybe they lost sight of the fact that the down reverted to third when the replay was called for.
that would be an unacceptable blunder by a coach...which makes it entirely possible

Warner thanking God.. prob. should thank 49ers bad play calling and QB play instead.
God must have had Robinson at his flex position

Why does this bother some of you so much?
They were making fun of the game and the Niners, not God. Chill.
:goodposting: Wasn't trying to offend anybody
Not offended, just trying to figure out why some people seem to get offended when a player acknowledges God or their faith when they are interviewed.
Think you perceived all 3 of those comments incorrectly but no, I was poking fun at the 49ers... Not Warner and his beliefs

wow...i just rewound it and #53 for AZ did indeed rip Robinson's helmet off trying to pull him back. Blatant personal foul. What a disgrace that last 20 seconds was :goodposting:

Singletary had a real boring PCBOOOOOOO
Thinking about it, I know the 49ers were trying to use a possible spike call to trick the Cardinals but it just seemed iffy since they were slated at the 2 an half. If they were on the 1 or inside I would totally back that call esp. since the clock started on a refs command so really no time to get personel on field and come up with a real play.Im not sure really what to think all in all but I know that was good effort by 49ers but they def. did not finish the game. Tough way to lose a game but I see improvement from last week if that means anything in the NFL. Singletary got his players ready though and they fought all game. :goodposting:

Half hour later and I still can't believe how inept that sequence looked.

QUOTESan Francisco 49ers at 01:06 1-10-ARI 42 (1:06) 13-S.Hill pass short right to 89-J.Hill to ARI 29 for 13 yards. 1-10-ARI 29 (:56) 13-S.Hill pass short right to 89-J.Hill ran ob at ARI 15 for 14 yards. 1-10-ARI 15 (:52) 13-S.Hill pass short right to 89-J.Hill to ARI 1 for 14 yards (20-R.Brown). 1-1-ARI 1 (:21) 13-S.Hill spiked the ball to stop the clock. Timeout #3 by ARI at 00:20. 2-1-ARI 1 (:20) 21-F.Gore left tackle to ARI 2 for -1 yards (56-C.Okeafor). San Francisco challenged the runner was down by contact ruling, and the play was Upheld. (Timeout #4.) 3-2-ARI 2 (:03) 24-M.Robinson up the middle to ARI 1 for 1 yard (53-C.Haggans). END GAME

I agree they played well, still have a long way to go though. The most impressive part of the night was the two 4th quarter stops.

Singletary... Martz... Hill... Entirely possible...

I have Shaun Hill in one league, but I have to say that guy looked absolutely nothing like an NFL quarterback. I haven't seen worse overall decision-making in an NFL game this year. He had the two picks and the fumble, but how many picks SHOULD he have thrown? 6? 7? Yikes. He doesn't seem to have any velocity on his balls either. He seems to be fairly elusive in the pocket and buys himself some time, but other than that, my God does he look bad.

Apparently you missed yesterday's Carolina/Oak game

I don't know man, those INTs didn't count for a reason. I didn't record the game, but it sure seemed that he got pressure from the offsides players on two of those picks that were called back.

Because it is ridiculous?
:lmao:

True, but those throws shouldn't have been made regardless. Those penalties may or may not get called. There were also balls that were dropped (by the defense) as well. I realize QBs get freebies like that from time to time, but it seemed like every other throw was something that could have or should have been picked off. Granted, his receivers may not be giving him much to work with, but you AT LEAST have to put some mustard on those balls you are tossing into the middle of the field.

Just amazing. Took the offense 25 seconds to get down to the goal line. How do you not spike it on first down then try two pass plays? Then if need be try a run on 4th. Amazing.

The fullback had no room to build up a head of steam. At least send Gore over the top.

It doesn't bother me one bit. Quite the contrary I find it amusing.
