Garcon injured? (1 Viewer)

I traded for Moreno and Garcon this week.

Anthony Gonzalez (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

The Colts held out nine players, including Pierre Garcon (hamstring), so Gonzalez appears to be legitimately over the injury hump -- for now. While he should be owned in 12-team leagues, we'd hold off on using him as a WR3 this week.

This from Rotoworld:Pierre Garcon-WR-Colts Oct. 28 - 4:33 pm et

Pierre Garcon (hamstring) was held out of Colts practice on Thursday.

Garcon isn't known to have re-injured his hamstring, so the Colts are likely just giving him added rest with an extra day of practice this week.

When asked on Twitter whether there was concern about Garcon not playing, Wilson responded:I chatted with Garcon today. Don't think so. I didn't get to talk to Powers. Hope to on Friday. I'll follow up.

Thanks but "Don't think so" was not what I was hoping to hear from something that seemingly has come out of left field.

It may not be serious, but when you hear "hammy", it has to cause at least some concern. Tomorrow will be interesting to see how much work Garcon gets in.

He was questionable in Week 6 because of his hamstring. He played and had 103 yards and a touchdown.I cant say for sure, but I think the beat writer is implying its the same hamstring. They rested him for the practice 4 days before the game in Week 6 and appear to have done the same this week.

The Colts seem to have a pattern of resting guys for Wednesday practices. Even though this is Thursday, its essentially a Wednesday practice for them since they don't play until Monday night.

For what it's worth (and its not much) McFadden was limited in practice last week with a hammy... and that ended up happy (for some).

Maybe they expect Garcon to be running so many fly patterns that they just want to get him the added rest (Monday game).

Nicks also had a 'fatigued' hamstring and was held out on Fri. of last week....I would not worry about it unless there is more information.

I'm hoping RotoWorld has it right and there's really nothing to this other than giving the guy a day of rest. I guess we'll know more tomorrow.

I was going to offer a trade for Garcon but this does concern me moving forward. Just wonder if he'll be dealing with it all year.

From Rotoworld....

Pierre Garcon (hamstring) returned to a full practice on Friday.Playing Monday night against the Texans, the Colts will release their final injury report on Saturday. They'll also hold another practice tomorrow. Garcon is safe to count on in fantasy leagues as a high-end WR2 play.Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter
Looks like he was held out yesterday just for rest, which is consistent with what the Colts have done all year. Looks like full-speed ahead for Garcon this Monday.

Full practice Friday, no word on Saturday yet from Rotoworld. Anyone know if he practiced today?

Looks like a great play for MNF:

(RotoWire) Garcon (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against Houston, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: Garcon participated fully in Saturday's practice, so he should be good to go Monday night. With Dallas Clark and Austin Collie out, Garcon should get plenty of targets. He's a terrific fantasy play this week against Houston's last-ranked pass defense.

Garcon has been hobbled since the preseason. This thread is an unncessary continuation of the few other threads on this subject as there is no evidence that would imply the reason for this weeks practice regimen was any different than the past reason.
