Gauging Value (1 Viewer)

What would you do if you had Phillip Rivers and fell into a better situation (i.e. drafted Cam Newton) in a dynasty league? (Let's assume standard, PPR scoring).

You could sit on Rivers until his value increased, but that seems like a waste when he could turn into a better player at another position on the roster.

You could hold Rivers and trade Newton.

Or you could trade Rivers now. But, if you did this, you might be selling a bit low. Has anyone traded Rivers recently? If so, what's his value?

What would you do? What is Rivers going for in your league(s)?

I am a buyer in every league possible. Guy had a bad season, it happens. I'm a gambling man, and I'd love to spend a later than Rivers is worth pick on him getting back to form in 2012. People will be down on him, and I hope that they are.

I really wanted to buy Rivers last year, but his owner wanted just a little too much. I'd still like to buy on the guy, and really would offer a similar package to what I did last season. I HOPE his owner is a little more willing to part with him this year.

I agree with the above poster. Chalk this up to a bad year. He is still a top 8 QB in this league.

I agree. I have Rivers, Romo, and Cutler on my start 2qb squad. Rivers is by far the most valuable to me.
