General Question Regarding Starter Strategy (3 Viewers)

Hello, Football Guys! 😁

Do you all try to avoid having too many players on the same team per week? I have typically avoided that scenario... fearing that one could have a great day, meaning the other/s could have not-so-great days. More specifically…

I've got Cee Dee Lamb, Javonte Williams, and Brandon Aubrey at my disposal.

I have trouble benching Lamb, and Aubrey is locked-in as my Kicker. However, Williams has been impressive these first two weeks — more so than Kyren Williams. I am thinking of benching the latter Williams in favor of the former. But that would mean 1/3 of my lineup would be on one team.

Am I over-thinking this, or would I be wise to not load-up my lineup with one team?

Thanks!

General rule of thumb is to only use this stuff as a tiebreaker. Also, keep in mind that QB/WR or QB/TE is a higher variance strategy, but RB/WR lowers your ceiling because any TDs from one likely takes away a scoring opportunity from the other (same is mostly true of QB/RB, though obviously the QB can throw a TD to the RB).

In your case, as you say, Lamb and Aubrey are no-brainers, so you really have to decide if you want to start Javonte. I probably wouldn't start him over Kyren regardless (I have him in one league where I will maybe consider starting him over Breece with the Fields injury, but even there I'm not so sure). But if you feel strongly about it, I don't think the lineup issue should be enough on its own to totally dissuade you

Right on....

After two weeks, Lamb has over 200 receiving yards but no TDs.... Williams has 150 rushing yards (as well as 40 receiving yards) and 3 TDs. They both have been productive in tandem.

So maybe I shouldn't be dissuaded. Thanks!

Keep in mind that Dallas’ center is out 6-8 weeks. No idea what intact that will have

Watching the 🦬🐬...

Someone in my league has Allen, Cook, and Kincaid. She's got Kincaid on the bench. Had she started him, she'd be in a better-than-good spot right now.

Point being, starting multiple players on the same team should not be — at least doesn't have to be — worrisome. Kincaid JUST missed TD #2....
