Can someone tell about Geri Wilkinson the NYG LB. What do you guys think his value is in a dynasty league? and will he be starting this year? Do you have a LB you would compare him to?

Reminds me of Matt McCoy in that everyone will be talking about how much playing time he'll get (by default) during the offseason, but when push comes to shove he's not that talented and won't put up great numbers.

That could prove to be a very good comparison. Wilkinson's pre-draft scouting report suggested he was a guy that could do everything pretty well (run, tackle, cover, pass rush), but lacked elite talent in any area. It should be a little concerning that Wilkinson was unable to break into the lineup last year over now departed veterans Brandon Short and Carlos Emmons, neither of which are generating much interest now, but the Giants were making a playoff run at the time and couldn't afford any rookie growing pains. The Giant WLB position had been a solid IDP value for years regardless of talent. With the move to a Philly-like attacking scheme that may no longer be the case, despite Omar Gaither's second half of 2006. For now, I'd consider him in a big tier of bye week replacement guys. Mini-camp reports suggesting he's bulked up some or the coaching staff is impressed by off-season improvement would be nice, but as Slinger suggests, may not mean much. Like McCoy, he's worth rostering for now until we know for sure.
