Get Ertz/Reed or keep the 2018 picks? (1 Viewer)

.5 ppr keeper league

Ertz looking like a legit stud with a great connection with Wentz for years. The tanking owner wants my projected late 1st and early 2nd but the Reed owner is texting me as well, I won't offer as much...probably the early second would be the highest I go on Reed.

 - Is the 2018 class that deep or rounding out to be more top heavy?

- Can only keep two TE next year so I would have to sell or release Kroft, Eifert, Olson or Ertz/Reed during the offseason (though obviously Ertz would be one of my keepers)

This would give me a superteam! But - Currenty 7-0 and cruising towards a bye week with a stacked team, however TE weak right now having Eifert on IR, waiting for Olson to come back and Tyler Kroft. So the investment would be for weeks 15, 16 and 2018 moving forward

QB - Carr/Cam

RB - Leveon, Gurley, Mixon, Gio, James Conner, Jamal Williams, Jalen Richard

WR - OBJ (IR), Mike Evans, Mike Thomas, Amari Cooper, Theilen, Cobb

TE - Kroft, Olson, Eifert (IR)

In my opinion the 18 class is going to have some impressive qbs, a handfull of rbs with just a few studs, and no true wr1 standout. The Wrs are going to be deep but not Cooper/Davis talents. But statistically everything outside of the top 3-5 picks is a crap shoot. I believe Footballguys posted an article about it. The likelihood of a first round pick making an impact in the first season is very low. Rb is higher than wr which is higher than te. If you drafted a te now dont expect much for years.

i like the idea of grabbing ertz. he finally has a qb and scheme that fits his talent. I stashed ertz years ago and it is finally paying dividends. Olsen will return and be a solid te2 behind ertz, and as you said gives you a super team.

I traded Reed to grab kelce a year or two back. Reed is an injury mess. When healthy one of the best, but between concussions and lingering injuries he is unreliable. Ertz may never have Reeds ceiling, but his floor will be much much higher. Having a TE who can reliable average 8 to 10 points per game is a big advantage when the points are close, expecially playoff time. I heavily favor Ertz to Reed for dynasty.

With your rb depth I would try and move richards, williams, and gio. If the owner of Ertz has a rb handcuff you can offer up ricahrds, williams, or gio that might save your first rounder. Maybe move theilen to the owner of diggs. Im always a fan of moving more lower end picks and players in order to keep firsts or studs.
