This has probably been mentioned earlier in this massive thread but...

The lack of sophistication in regards to my beloved Purple is embarrassing. Stunts like this one make the entire organization look foolish.

I was just thinking the same thing with the way they just broke Arizona down. So many holes to fill...

Maybe AZ's taking their time so they can have ESPN do their analysis for them. Another couple minutes, and they'll know everything they need.

Fantasy wise, you've obviously got to be intrigued by Suggs in Baltimore. As a 3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE, his job will be to rush the passer.I haven't scouted the defensive tackles too much, but going by the draft it looks like most teams filled immediate needs (except for the Rams). Most of their value will be in freeing up the ends that they play next to, so I'd say that it looks good for John Abraham, Charles Grant/Darren Howard, and the Minnesota line in general. From the highlights, it looks like Robertson and Sullivan may have their own value as well, but that's left to be seen.Does Ty Warren to New England mean that Richard Seymour will see some time at defensive end?
 
Hmmmm...just wondering why Penn St. sucked so bad these last couple of years if they have this much talent.

 
Did Stephen Davis move up to an early 2nd/late first pick after todays Gross pick?

TSN mentioned this as the perfect place for Gross. He can step in an start at RT until Todd Steussie moves on, then take over at LT.

Yes,The Pats were looking for flexibility with their system. That's why they didn't make a run for Kennedy. Warren has played some DE. Here's some info from ESPN draft tracker on Warren:Warren is a 300-plus-pound tackle, 3-4 end and nose tackle who has had a weight-gain problem at times. He lettered as a redshirt freshman in 1999, when he was just 18 years old. Started the last eight games in 2000 as a defensive end in a 3-4 and started the 10 games in which he was healthy enough to play in '01, when he won All-Conference recognition. Had 13 tackles in '99; 38 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and five sacks in 2000, when a knee injury slowed him down coming out of fall practice; and 41-12-4 in '01, when he started seven times on the nose and three times outside. Really came on in '02, when he had 52-12-4½ despite missing games Eight and 11. Had a nice Senior Bowl, where he showed some burst to go with his run-stuffer's bulk.

Positives: Great hands and concentration. Will extend and catch with his hands. Nice size and body control. Good character. Aware and tough over the middle and in a crowd. Makes some adjustments to gain separation. Great body and hands and good feet. Excellent athletic ability. Can beat defenders deep with a double move. Big, physical receiver whose route-running, consistency and concentration have improved. Can make you miss.

Negatives: Not that quick or explosive or sudden. Has build-up type of speed. Tends to round and gather on cuts. Inconsistent adjusting to the ball. Questionable speed and explosiveness into and out of breaks. Uses body to shield defenders. A little stiff in the hips. Doesn't have superquickness in and out of his cuts. Will have to beat defenders with a double move more than with great vertical speed. Doesn't have great second gear. Lacks burst and playmaking ability.

 
Arizona - a classic example of drafting for need - except I think NFL QBs will eat Johnson alive! He's more of a big posession WR and isn't physical enough with CBs.Okay - Arizona's draft now gets the offical "LOSER" sticker! A real reach - they would have been better off just taking Suggs.

SD better hope Sammy Davis is still there at #30. They traded down too far.
 
Cards could have traded down and gotten Pace. I think they could have stayed where they were #6 & #37 and gotten Suggs/Washington, which is a better option than what they ended up with.

If that's who they wanted ARI should have moved down again. Perhaps they tried but were not successful.

How is that the Chargers got a 2nd, not a 3rd. That a bad trade for the Chefs actually. 6th rounders are the same as FA pickups pretty much

Arizona took at #17 and #18 players that Frank Cooney at USA today sportsweekly rated at #48 and #49. What does that tell ya?BTW... ain't this board great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 
Right now their are still alot of guys that the Chargers can take. I think this was an excellent deal in picking up a 2nd and really not losing out in talent. Everyone was pretty much in accordance about this draft being 12-13 deep in 1st round talent/grades. No need to overspend if that was the case and we get to fill another hole with our 2nd. Then again it all depends on who they select with the 30th, they could pull a Zona and make 2 horrible picks....

Sure. But Arizona has need all over the place. Take the best player available and be happy.Boss Bailey, Kyle Boller, Chris Kelsay... all have slid down the draft board a bit. Would have been great value and fill the swiss cheese holes everywhere that zona has.
 
And not one of us predicted AZ's picks. We must be pretty dumb.

Anyone catch the EA Sports commercial with Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis? It's almost like they knew that Suggs was going to the Raven's before the draft...

 
cardinals have no clue. bryant johnson, and pace? johson pick wasn't all that bad, but pace? have to wonder what they are thinking
