Get it On! Rookie Draft Discussion Thread (1 Viewer)

Dallas' pick may not be popular, but it was a definite need. C is their weakest link on the line right now & Johnson is a stud. Good solid pick, IMO

Nice pick by the Jags, but Taylor Jacobs coulda really helped
I think it was a good pick for Jacksonville - haven't seen him play, but like his scouting report.

Joppru to Houston? Hello! Can you say offensive linemen? :rant:Scouting report: Possesses soft hands and extends to the ball rather than allowing it to get into his body. For a tight end, Joppru displays excellent agility after the catch and can be a dangerous player with the ball in his hands. Showed great leaping ability as well for a TE. Not fast enough to get down field, and not big enough to be a blocking TE. Looks to be a good H-back in the NFL. He will never be able to be another tackle in his blocking but he could hold it for a bit. Very nice routes and solid hands, but the speed is a down fall. Joppru can't get down the field and beat coverage consistently. So how does he help here?

I just woke up, fell asleep and EJ Henderson was "just" taken? Alrighty then, Rams will take either Terry Pierce or Dennis Weathersby. Is Taylor Jacobs still available?

Not here. My daughter still has the TV....watching some movie I've never heard of called "Blind Fury." I'm relying on NFL.com and 'specially you guys.Just like Sunday mornings during the season.

As a side note, god how dumb does Corey Chavous come across as?
He knows his stuff; studies film of the college stars constantly. But I agree that he isn't exactly the greatest communicator in the world.

He definitely knows his draft info, but needs to learn how to speak....and if I have to hear about the Vikes going for 2 against the Saints one more time....how many times can he possibly mention that?

GOOD pick!!!!

I'd love to bash Spurrier for taking Gators but that's a really good value there, I think we all expected Jacobs to go mid-first.

Spurrier gets his man. Jacobs to WASH.Any opinions on what this means for Coles and Gardner
it may affect Gardner more than Coles...for the future...unless Spurtier decideds he can use all three, all the time

I agree with the O-line idea but have read that they don't really like Billy Miller.
