Question: how do you feel about LaPorta's receiving utilization tonight w/ Jamo out? Draft went weird in a 14-teamer last night and I ended up with Kincaid and Laporta (two rookie TE's, what could ever go wrong?!)

14 teamer a can go sideways real easy. You can take some solace in 3 of the top 5 TEs are banged up and a 4th had vertigo + back pain, both of which cured with a pace setting contract. Other than your Waller owner, TE might suck for all of us (again.)
LaPorta - great kid. Goofy, aw shucks kid from Iowa, Goff said he’s the most natural pass catcher he’s ever worked with. But when he screws up a choice route (he is a rookie), he gets an extended and animated lecture from Jared.
That’s a good thing IMO. He doesn’t make the same mistake twice. Goff rode Amon-Ra hard his rookie TC bc he knew he could be special.
Very good athlete. Played on a painful to watch Iowa offense - they beat FCS 2-time champs South Dakota State 7-3 with no TDs (Jack Campbell had one of their two safeties.) No run game, lousy offensive line, poor QB, and LaPorta was a YAC monster.
The floor is zero. It’s low floor, high ceiling Ying TE, ideally you’d have that paired with a decent floor, moderate ceiling Yang TE like Engram or Muth. But ya got two Yings so dance with the one you brought. Jets D is legit, I’d roll with Sam bc KC will have a hard time getting to Goff bc they are missing Chris Jones + Charles Omenihu and Frank Clark left town. Detroit’s OL is top shelf and LaPorta should have a role.

Until we know for sure about Kelce the odds seem to have settled around -4.5. Money Line still indicates KC being right around a 2-1 favorite in terms of the betting.

Coming to you from a Buckeye family by marriage, my wife says they should build a fence around the state of Michigan and then my stepson, who graduated from Ohio St., says then fill it with water.
Lost to the team up north two times in a row :(. I’ll be pulling for the Lions tonight however.

Actually it gets worse, I’m a Kentucky and ND fan. Grew up loving ND. Ky has been respectable in football the last few years. At least we have basketball most years. I married into a Buckeye family, so I have to pull for them against everyone else.
