Getting weird texts from ex-employer.. (1 Viewer)

No time today....I'll get to this someday soon....maybe, I don't know......Friday or something.FYI, this thread contains ZERO schtick.
MT has been wrong about other stuff before. I believed it all along, but mainly because I had read all those other threads you had about the job and moving jobs and many other things over multiple years that would have been real hard to fake. While someone may take this as a challenge, I don't think there has been any thread like this that was a fishing trip that had so much background built over multiple years.

Screw you man. You dont just get to disappear then come back only to reply that you're busy and might update it someday.I feel like posting some #### here so that your porn alarms or whatever go off and you get in trouble for looking at ####.

Jayrod gets threatened by his (ex-)employer for 4 pages and then disappears without an update. the rest of us spend 8 pages wondering if he is dead and periodically bumping the thread.

Looks like pg 9 was the last of jayrod until today.

So what story should I tell first, update the crazy ex-boss situation, or explain my disappearance?

Ex-boss, then the disappearance.
First to reply wins.......OK so here's the story on "Tim". I no longer work for the CPA firm (will explain that along with my disappearance), but am now at a start up outsourcing company. Tim tracked me down here once my name was on the company website and did his typical spoofed email to the company asking if we did any fraud investigations. I had to inform my boss and everyone he was copying the emails to about the situation and we all blocked his email and I emailed back telling him to never email us again here. He has since complied (that was about a year ago). Then for about 6-7 months silence. It was nice and I almost forgot about him. Almost. Until I (like a genius) let my CPA license lapse. Somehow he knew within a week and while I was trying to renew the license he sent us another spoofed email asking about CPA services. He was pretty sneaky about it and I wasn't sure it was him until the third email. I just stopped emailing him back and never heard from him again. Then about a month ago, he emails my wife's yahoo account out of the blue with this gem:
Hi [Jayrod's wife], I wanted to forward you the enclosed attachment and ask you to review this. We have learned that most of the entries [Jayrod] made during this late night working after hours on 11/25/08 and into the early hours of 11/26/08 were clandestine. In fact we have identified four transactions totaling $109,000 that are missing money.I don't know if you recall the e-mail you had sent to [Jayrod] wondering why he was working at the office after midnight. I have enclosed the attachment. But we have isolated all the entries time stamped during this session he was working after hours into midnight that night. Most of the activity we suspect centers around this 11/24 to 11/26 timeline. Because ----- (a major vendor) has provided all our account history dating back to 2001 we have now successfully recognized all the missing money. They provided all invoices and payment history so we were able to easily point to the missing money. As it turns out your e-mail to [Jayrod] ends up being a pivotal piece of information that allows us to build a timeline. If you would review this again and think it over, [Tim's wife] and I are open to working something out. Thanks for your help,[Tim]
I forwarded it to myself, and replied to him and "reminded" him that he was not to contact me or my family ever again, including replying to that email. He complied and I haven't heard from him since. I did see his daughter and his wife at the gym two nights ago. Not sure if she knows he's sending these emails or not. We avoided eye contact. As for what "Tim" is doing now, the business is shut down. He is working for another company based out of Austin as a salesman. The business has been sued by multiple vendors and he has lost several of those cases. He has constantly gone through different lawyers and to top it all off, he has a criminal trial set for tomorrow (12/21/12) and is being prosecuted by the Dept of Labor for failing to remit employee insurance premiums and Simple IRA contributions after he fired me. I think it is a class B misdemeanor. (all of the legal info I get off of MO Case net which is a pretty sweet website and helps me track all of his junk)Anyway, that's the ex-boss side of things.
