Giants at Panthers (1 Viewer)

Does Bennett go off tonight with no nicks/hixon? Or barden? Or randle? Does David Wilson surprise everyone with the best rushing stats on the nyg tonight?

My bet is Bennett and Wilson go off...at least that's what I'd like to see ESP with Wilson. Kids electric. And the future.

I think the entire passing game is suspect with Hicks out.

-------------

The game intro is horrible - why do they even need to show one??

Think Cruz has a huge night - I think Eli will force feed him the ball. Wouldn't be surprised if he sees more than 15 targets tonight

Think the Giants will find a way to pull this off even with all of the injuries..

Pierre Paul is gonna be a difference maker tonight. He has the athleticism to keep up w/ cam when he leads the pocket.

Panthers punting on the Giant's 44 yard line after 3rd and 5, then 4th and 5?

Not only is Rivera wearing 'transitions,' he's a boob. Nut up and go for it.

Also, Andre Brown looks like the most talented RB on the Giants roster when all are healthy.

How many times was Brown cut by other teams? Amazing what he is doing with the opportunity last week and this game.

When a player runs out of bound they don't always stop the clock? I apologize if that's a stupid question but i always thought that the clock stopped when players run out of bounds.
If they don't have forward progress when going OB, it's as if they didn't go out so the clock doesn't stop.

It can take years to come back fully from an injury to the Achilles, for a RB. This is why the optimism about LeShoure is puzzling, unless medicine has advanced THAT much in just the last couple years.

It hit the ground, but olsen kept his hand under it and maintained control. Isn't that a catch?
I assumed that a guy who catches it in mid air has to keep it off the ground. I could be wrong but it seems like it should be the rule. ??
No, that rule was changed. It can hit the ground as long as receiver maintains control and refs judge that the ball hitting the ground did not help them control it.

I don't think it should. He didn't use the ground to help make the catch. He made a great catch and maintained possession. It just happened to touch the ground after he'd made the catch. Hitting the ground just helped demonstrate how much control he had of it (because it didn't jar it loose).

Nope, it can touch the ground if you keep control. Regardless, it's fun to bag on the refs even when they get it right.

That ball touched the ground.
Yep. About a 1/3rd of the ball touched the ground. Should have been incomplete.
Can't it touch the ground after he makes the catch and as long as he maintains possession throughout?I thought it was a catch.

Now, I thought the PI on Webster was a bad call. Very minimal contact and he just made a great play on the ball.
This is correct IMO.
Well, I guess you learn something new everyday. Never knew that balls can touch the ground and still be called a catch. Wow, they really try to make it way too easy for the offenses don't they.
