A-Rod wouldn't hit 50 at Comerica. You better hope he's raking on the road.I'm going with Miguel Cabrera. I paid a high price for him in an auction, I think he hits 45-50 this year in that lineup.
I'm not sure how you define blow up, but it wouldn't surprise me if Melky Cabrera went 10/10 this year![]()
Sergeant Hulka with the "big toe" is gonna see how far he can stick it up your ###.I'm not sure how you define blow up, but it wouldn't surprise me if Melky Cabrera went 10/10 this year![]()
This guy knows things. :(
The title didn't say "implode."Pedro Feliz....could go 30 - 100 in CBPB. I don't know where he goes in redrafts....Pat Burrell.... is in a contract year...Manny Ramirez.... will be alot closer to pre 2007 Manny.
If Miggy doesn't stop eating everything in sight, he will be the one blowing up.ceo3west said:I'm going with Miguel Cabrera. I paid a high price for him in an auction, I think he hits 45-50 this year in that lineup.
He lost 20 pounds this offseason, he's no longer a fatty. He's a beast. If Miggy doesn't stop eating everything in sight, he will be the one blowing up.ceo3west said:I'm going with Miguel Cabrera. I paid a high price for him in an auction, I think he hits 45-50 this year in that lineup.

i hope you are right, i waited on the posistion and took him with my last pick.Ortiz will put up big homerun numbers after playing hurt last year.
Zimmerman will surprise.
JD Drew will be reborn as he learns how to use the green monster.
JR Towles will be a top 5 catcher.
Definitely agree with Corey Hart.Eugenio Velez - Sleeper for 50+ steals if he can get playing time
Corey Hart - 30/30 ?
John Maine - Hopefully he builds on last season's breakout
Delmon Young - new venue should help him live up to the hype
Phillips is a classic case of a guy who will always be a better fantasy player than actual offensive player though. I can definitely see him down to about 260 with a low OBP this year, but almost all of his value is derived from his 30/30 stats and his position. Those things aren't going to change. He's going to hit HR in that park just by virtue of his big swing and home park and he definitely will run more not less with Dusty running the show. Not sure what blow up means but guys I really like to become elite players are: Ryan Zimmerman, Carl Crawford if healthy, Troy Tulowitzki, and Hunter Pence. Guys I don't like all that much are Brandon Phillips, Adam Dunn, and Fausto Carmona. I think those guys are overrated.
Joe Mauer is a guy I really like. I think he's gonna eventually move into the field somewhere and get 3000+ hits.
This guy knows things... Milton is likely to scream down his manager, and or teammate at ANY time.Milton Bradley
Just bumping this to give you some props. Solid calls so far. All 4 of these choices seem much more valuable now than they did on draft day.Eugenio Velez - Sleeper for 50+ steals if he can get playing timeCorey Hart - 30/30 ?John Maine - Hopefully he builds on last season's breakoutDelmon Young - new venue should help him live up to the hype

Yea, I shouldn't have lumped Maine in there.Velez was on almost nobody's radar last week and most everyone (that I know of) assumed he wouldn't really play. He has gotten in all 3 games (starting 1), gotten some hits, and already stolen a base. I think hes worth owning now. I didn't a week ago. Maybe I was just slow on him though, who knows.Young hit .455 in the 1st series even when the rest of the team did nothing. He also stole a base already. Pretty good start for a guy nobody really knew what to expect from.If you don't agree that Velez and Young have been better than expected, no problem. Its only week 1 anyway.Just bumping this to give you some props. Solid calls so far. i think he meant blow up as in good stats, not blow up the stadium or himself!!!Milton Bradley
The only think Hendrickson will blow up is your team ERA. 6'7" lefty that cant hit 89 on the gun. He isnt worth the spot.I've been trying to get Conor Jackson in every league I'm in. I'd also take a hard look at Austin Kearns. On the pitching side I'd say Rafael Soriano and Mark Hendrickson (deep sleeper). I'm strictly an NL only guy.
Hey, I said "deep sleeper" - that means guys likely available for a $1 in auctions or in the last round or free agent wire. I gotta laugh at these responses like Chris Young and Jeff Francoeur. Young was almost a 30-30 guy in his rookie year. Francoeur has driven in over 100 the last two years. I mean, come on, everyone knows about those guys. They've already blown up.For Hendrickson, I'm projecting 10 wins, 4.40 era, 1.40 whip, and 130 k's. That's not All-Star worthy by any means, but he'll fit in very nicely in a reliever-heavy line-up.i think he meant blow up as in good stats, not blow up the stadium or himself!!!Milton BradleyThe only think Hendrickson will blow up is your team ERA. 6'7" lefty that cant hit 89 on the gun. Two out of three ain't bad. Never underestimate the power of the contract year.Pedro Feliz....could go 30 - 100 in CBPB. I don't know where he goes in redrafts....
