Giving advice to other owners that may help you (1 Viewer)

As the playoffs approach, some of us need a little help from our fellow owners down the stretch. If a guy is playing the team I am tied with in the standings, I want them to win!

Now, in my league, not every owner is the brightest bulb in the box in terms of being on top of recent league developments. Is it good or bad form for me to email owners and let them know that a player is now ruled out (like Maclin or Julio Jones) when they have them in their lineups and might not realize this?

Should I just sit back and wring my hands or is it kosher to throw out tidbits like that?

Oh, and I also pointed out a player or two on the WW that might suit them well this week.

I was wondering the same thing but when I thought about it I give advice even before that playoff push. Def an okay thing.

I've never done it, but I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But if it is something that happens a lot, where you feel that much more informed and knowledgeable, then you might start looking for a more competitive league. Unless you are just hanging around for easy money.

uhhh..... no, I don't do this. I don't know what you call it but at the very least it is lame and kinda pathetic. Have some FF pride and honor! :football:

As long as you are not feeding an owner you want to lose misleading info, I see nothing wrong with it.

My league is very competitive. I sometimes have better info than some. If I need them to win, I see nothing wrong with a little helpful information. They don't have to act on it. I often tell them to check for themselves to be sure.

But I see nothing wrong unless you are providing wrong info trying to mislead someone you want to lose. The games still have to be played and no one knows what will happen then anyways.

Nothing wrong with this. Its not as if you can predict the future anyways. Sometimes, what you think of as good advice is not all that great.

"Psst...I think Gore will be splitting carries with Hunter."

Lame. Especially pointing out the waiver players.

People post here all the time that they get offended by something as little as a lowball trade offer, and won't trade with that person again. Imagine how much more offended a person can get by your unsolicited advice that makes it pretty clear that you think they don't know how to run a team.
