GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (6 Viewers)

There's a local brewery that has an IPA called Hopadillo. I like to order their black IPA, Hopadillo Negro, but say it like I don't know the Spanish word for "black."

My promised promotion has been delayed for two months because, it turns out, our director is new and didn't know how to use the Web-based personnel management application.

He has now been clued in, and we're waiting on Finance now. Ahh, bureaucracy.
I'd demand retroactive raise when you get it, or walk.

My wife pronounced the word armadillo arm-uh-DEE-yo last night.

What's the play here?
Is she spanished?

What's the play here?
Going to need context
"I saw a Facebook story where a guy tried to shoot an Arm-uh-DEE-yo and the bullet bounced off and killed him"
She should go all-in and roll the "r", too - Arrrr-ma-DEE-yo

Portland is a great town for Thai food, Sushi, Korean, Vietnamese...but I've been here 20 years and have yet to find a decent Chinese place. Damndest thing. I've given up. Used to love me a good Chinese buffet but not here. Everything is putrid.

82nd? What am I, a hooker?

That noodle place looks good. There's a Korean place near me that hand spins their noodles. So good.

Man, I'm starving.

I agree completely. Mexican restaurants here are dreadful. And their names are so stupid - "Si Senor!" and "Muchos Gracias!" If I went to Mexico, I assure you I wouldn't want to eat an American place called "THANK YOU VERY MUCH".

There's a decent food truck in Beaverton that I've been to once with my man Sosa...he did all the ordering in Spanish and their sauces were top notch. They aren't always open and I was the only gringo in line, but the burrito I had was better than anything I've had at Chipotle or Que Doba.
