Has to be poison I guess, although I doubt any of my neighbors would have intentionally done that.  Maybe some bad water, something that was passed via milk to the little ones. 

All this has me depressed, not sure why.  I like squirrels no more than the next guy but finding the youngins was tough, would have had four of those little bastards for the dog to chase.  :(

Seems like a neighborhood cat is the much more likely suspect.

I think I'd rather peruse the Elder Scrolls vs. Skyrims thread backwards and forwards then enter that one.  Hell, I think I would let Vanilla Ice rap me every word of the Timsochet's Master Thread before opening page one of CE's thread.

Read that as "rape me" the first time through it.  Changes things a bit.

 
How is it that our bodies can create phlegm so quickly? I've got some sinus congestion, and I'm cranking out little green/yellow balls every other minute.

He said he would be checking out of the thread before the surgery but checking back in after.  IIRC even said something like he'd see us on the 25th.

Still, I suspect he just is recovering and understandably doesn't have time for us schmoes.

No one had ever mentioned it to me.  Turns out it tried to kill me, too, same way it tried to get my father. Old goat was treated for the same type of aneurysm I have for over two decades and didn't need surgery. Or to mention it to his son, apparently.

I'm having a final night of light drinking before the push toward surgery and I'm reading 20th century poetry.  I'm allowed as long as I take a few blood thinners and drink plenty of water. The booze, not sure I'm allowed poetry.  Forgive me, I'm an old school introspective drinker sometimes.  In vino veritas, in whiskey weight. 

I likely won't be around very much for awhile as I gear up to the 24th, perhaps the occasional bad joke about cows and politics and a bit of Olympic discussion. Assuming all will go well, but in any event, thanks GMTAN.  May your headstones hold the words of Rudyard Kipling, and deserve them. I have never known a more horrifying group of degenerates for whom I'd be proud to go to prison for helping hide a body.  May we all fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds' worth of distance run.

If I die, all of my likes go to k4 for her birthday.

yes. on two separate occasions we were gifted Japanese cherry trees to commemorate the birth of my first daughter and the passing of my father in law. 

both were planted in our yard. the first was mysteriously "eaten by a deer".... or sliced by a shears.  take your pick. it was about 6 feet tall. very skinny and lasted less than 1 year. came home from work one day and it was just gone. went over to check out wtf and saw a clean cut about 6" from the ground. strange that a "deer" would eat 6' of tree and not leave a trace.

the second was poisoned with... something. we're not sure what. it was a couple summers old. growing great. not flowering yet but lots of leaves, growing fast and very healthy looking. over the course of about a week it died completely. wilted. dried up and died.

our neighbor is ..a ####### lunatic. we haven't spoken with her in a few years because of it.

I would be sooooooooo ####### pissed. That's horrible. But what reason(s) would she have for killing young trees in your yard?
