GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (9 Viewers)

Full nights sleep last night and a nap today and I'm pretty sure I've finally recovered from my Leadership Retreat on Thursday/Friday. You know its going to be a good time when fully grown adults start jumping into a hotel pool at midnight.

searched for chicken marinade using the search function. top result on 2nd page is from the original GMTAN.

Solid marinade, a little like a Korean Kalbi.

dice up a ton of fresh garlic (two whole cloves)

Saute in oil, add a couple tsp sugar, then sit sauce and fish sauce if you have it. stir and let the garlic clump up into sticky balls

reserve the garlic clumps by spooning them into a bowl, and scrape up any brown bits

saute chicken in that same oil. Add a little more soy/fish sauce if the oil is thinned out

add the garlic nuggets back to the oil and spoon them over the chicken to serve.

If you don't have fish sauce, you can use some water from your kids goldfish bowl or rub the skillet on your wife's ######

Not sure what to do if you don't have sit sauce.

Rude

Go with a souvlaki marinade if you're grilling the chicken. Absolutely rules, you won't regret it

Mine is...

Juice of 1 lemon

1/4 cup of red wine vinegar

3/4 cup olive oil

Tons of chopped garlic

Salt

Pepper

Dried thyme (about 2 tsp)

Dried oregano (about 2 tsp)

Cheap, simple and rules.

It's, I don't know, like 50 recipes and I've probably tried 40 and they're good. I deleted anything I didn't like but there's some stuff I haven't tried. Lots of recipes that have been posted here too. It's a good file. They're all pretty good.

On the list of things you probably shouldn't do in the ER.......

Had to take my daughter to the ER Friday night, spent 6 hours there.

She had severe pain in her lower right abdomen, all of my internet research said probably Appendicitis. Bloodwork was negative for any infection. The Doc said she thought it would end up being an Ovarian Cyst. After that they gave her some morphine for pain. About 10 mins after that I watched her hand curl up, she was arching her back, kind of convulsing and saw her eyes roll into her head..... I ran out to the nurses station yelling "WE NEED A CRASH CART!!!!!!!!!!" :bag:

Doctors and nurses sprung to life, looked at me and stopped in their tracks, like WTF is this guy. I yelled that my daugher was convulsing and passing out and to get in there!!....... Two nurses and a doc ran into the room. One started pounding on her chest while the other pushed fluids through her IV. Finally she came back. They did an Ultrasound and found an Ovarian Cyst.

Man what a night. Up for 25 straight hours.
