Not a direct reference to elephants, but I heard an interesting podcast a while back about rhinos. Also endangered, but in this case, there is a problem with old bulls who are too old to reproduce, but will drive off or kill younger males. So the government auctions off a permit to kill the old guy so that the younger males have a chance with the ladies, ideally resulting in a net gain of the rhino population AND more $$ to help protect against poachers.
I have to work on Friday and they don't want to come back Thursday night. Of course work for my office will be 18 holes at the golf course but I didn't see that as an important detail to tell them.Teach me how to pull this off.

I did NOT have to report to jury duty at 7:45am. Called the number and they said they didn't need my juror number, excused, thanks for playing. Told my boss I would be in, he told me don't worry about it, enjoy the day so enjoy the day I shall!!! Parents came over at 8am to watch Hazel and the twins, wife and I went to Hazel's conference (yes, for a 3 year old; don't care, got me out of the house) and it went quickly and well....so well that we decided to hit the neighborhood bar for bloodies and breakfast. Today has been a good day.

I drove across the great commonwealth of Pennsylvania with a child who screamed for about 2 hours of the trip after screaming intermittently since 4am. So I'm not tired at all.
