Think Mr krista's shouting and jumping up and down on the furniture after the grand slam and ensuing home run were more likely to fell the trees and break the windows.

 
Tried out the pizza oven tonight. Wife wanted gluten-free and I fear that might have skewed the results downward. Still pretty good, but using semolina next time, I think. 

Did ribs in the top half (smoker) last night and they came out great, even though I had a hard time keeping the heat down. Trying a chicken and a Boston butt this evening, once it cools a little.

I dont know how to explain it, but the movie was simultaneously painfully slow and moved ahead too fast. 

Eta:. Foxcatcher. Not the doc or 30 for 30.

One of my favorite Gaiman books

Also reminds me a great deal of Adams' Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency which is a series on BBCA starting in a week or so.

I just noticed for the first time that in Dumb and Dumber, just after they accidentally kill the guy with the hot pepper, they're listening to the Butthole Surfers' version of Hurdy Gurdy Man on the radio

Don't get me wrong.  I think the Butthole Surfers are great.  I've seen them live with sex change surgeries being displayed on the screen behind them while they played.  But Hurdy Gurdy Man freaks me out.

my wife went thru something very similar a few years ago.  it's the only time i've called 911.  the paramedics were fairly nonplussed, so i took her to the hospital myself.  my daughter and i slept in the kids play room at the hospital.  it was extremely scary, i'm glad your lady is ok

 
Yikes. That was a day-drunk for the ages. I apparently went on a cooking spree yesterday, as I see a lasagna (vaguely remember doing this), a pot of jambalaya (no recollection), and some kind of veggie concoction (ditto) in my fridge this morning. I also see that I must have at least attempted to watch one of the Lord Of The Rings DVDs since they are scattered all over my coffee table. I'm afraid to turn the TV on, because I'm sure the volume is at a billion. And it appears I washed the shower curtains, though God only knows how I got it put back up on the million hooks it hangs from.

Hope you guys in the PNW are weathering the storm.

Bob, that's some scary ####. Glad Pepper is doing better.

American Gods is a lot of fun, cos. 

The 3-some was something my friend & I had discussed for a while. It wasn't planned for yesterday, just kind of came (heh) together all at once. I've been involved with a few of them in the past, but this was the first one that didn't include way too much booze, wreck at least one relationship, or both. As someone mentioned, I'm like 1,000 years old but I survived it and had fun.
