Just curious. If all things are even which way do you go in choosing your starting lineup?

I have the option of Matt Ryan against Minnesota or Phillip Rivers against the Bucs. Both defenses have taken hits, but the Bucs are still Q.B. killers this year. Also You have a west coast team traveling all the way east and then playing in a very early game given the time change. Still I am going with what got me there and playing Rivers in spite of the longer travel, early start, and better defense.

What if playing the matchups is what got me here?

Ok, a little tongue in cheek but, seriously, while there are some guys I never bench to matchups, almost anyone in my lineup is a possible bench given the matchup.

I agree, each person should follow their own philosophy.

Those who start their studs every week will, e.g., be starting Warner and CJ3 - 2 players I also have started all year but won't be starting in the SB due to matchups and other factors (Boldin, weather, playoff seeding).

Autopilot

Yeah, I was going to put a combo option in, but that would be too easy.

I'm in a keep-3 league, my 3 keeper players have been on my team for years... Jamal Lewis, Larry Johnson, and TJ Houshmandzadeh. The trio won me the championship two years ago. Only one is starting for me today, and I might bench LJ by Sunday morning. To be honest, I did package Jamal Lewis for Peyton Manning early in the season when Peyton had the rough start, so Peyton was a start this week, but, otherwise I've been playing matchups all season... and if Peyton had a bad matchup this week, or had already clinched the playoffs, I would have benched him--I'd benched him twice during the season.

Of the 14 players I had at the end of the draft, only 3 are still on my roster. I've been swapping guys in and out of the other 11 spots all year long. I'm pretty fierce and I have no loyalties... other than to the grand prize money. I don't play on auto pilot, I play to win.
