God and Science (1 Viewer)

I was watching Rogans podcast and he had a physicist named Brian Cox on I believe.  It was a good watch.  He was really good at explaining what he knew about and thought about the universe without being a condescending scientist.  They get into God a bit and I found it interesting.  And how people can have faith but need to embrace the facts of science.

Yes, I am the religion hater but I never totally discount God so it appealed to me.

Give it a chance if you got the time and care about the subject.

Organized religion is the problem, not a simple belief in God.  You can believe in a god and not have it conflict with science, but as soon as you organize that belief, and put people in positions of power then science becomes a threat to that power and then you have stupid crap like people being opposed to stem cell research and wanting laws to prevent gay people from marrying.

I agree but we are a long way from figuring out everything and even mother nature.  People who want to have faith and science can if they choose too on both sides which is a great thing.  Religion is not immune to hate, logic helps with that.

I always thought being an Ignostic is the best fit for me. It's sort of like an agnostic but someone that doesn't wanna argue.
I really don't want to label what I am because like everything, I should be a work in progress.  I just hate when proven science is ignored for religion or anything else.

We can grow stem cells and that should be the route.  And when we start caring about every human, then I will worry about their choices in gender preference.  You got 6 billion people all wired different on this planet.  We have many wired to kill, to rape, to steal, to hate. Powerful people that start wars, only care about money.  I don't care about who you lay with.
