Anyone care to update the results on this draft?
http://football27.myfantasyleague.com/2011/options?L=58441&O=171.01 1. @DLFootball Rice, Ray BAL RB Mon Feb 6 10:08:45 a.m. ET 2012 - The most complete RB in the game in my opinion. Showed that he can be a goal-line back & is a cornerstone of an offense. (Comments Added Mon Feb 6 10:18:55 a.m. ET 2012)1.02 2. @ChrisWesseling Johnson, Calvin DET WR Mon Feb 6 10:11:44 a.m. ET 2012 - Since Adrian Peterson's knee is shredded, I'm going with the best talent in the game. Big fan of elite WRs at the top of a start-up draft because RBs are fickle year-to-year with expiring shelf-lives.1.03 3. @SteveWyremski McCoy, LeSean PHI RB Mon Feb 6 10:20:32 a.m. ET 2012 - Solid pass catching back and he'll only be 24 at the start of 2012. That to go along with two top 2 PPR finishes in the last two years makes him an easy choice. I wanted Calvin here (thought he'd go #1 overall), but I'll "settle" with McCoy.1.04 4. @SetMyRoster Foster, Arian HOU RB Mon Feb 6 12:03:04 p.m. ET 2012 - I traded up to get Arian Foster because I have him ranked number 1 on my board. The hamstring issue is the only thing that kept him from being the number 1 back again this past year, IMO.1.05 5. @RoadWarrior99 Rodgers, Aaron GBP QB Mon Feb 6 1:00:00 p.m. ET 2012 - Remaining top RB's all have a bit of risk. CJ off the board. Going safe here... lock up QB position for years to come?1.06 6. @RyanMc23 Newton, Cam CAR QB Mon Feb 6 2:35:02 p.m. ET 2012 - Might be the toughest spot to draft from this year. Drop off after 5 IMO. I'll go the same route as Dave and take the safe pick that could give me 10 years of production. Like the WR depth, so feel I can wait there. All RBs I considered are injured, not worth the risk at this pick.1.07 7. @BeRanDone Jones-Drew, Maurice JAC RB Mon Feb 6 3:41:03 p.m. ET 2012 - I agree that the middle of the 1st is not a desirable place to be in a dynasty start-up this year. I decided to stay true to my board and go with Mr. Consistency (not sure if anyone else calls him that). Considered taking CJ2k with this pick hoping for a rebound year, but I'll take what I consider a sure thing for the next three years.1.08 8. @Bryan_Fontaine Brees, Drew NOS QB Mon Feb 6 3:48:32 p.m. ET 2012 - Would have preferred Aaron Rodgers here, but I'll take the 2nd QB on my board. Brees is 33 years old, but has at the very least 3 elite seasons left. There is a cluster of WR's I would have considered here, but will wait to snag one in Round 2.1.09 9. @EyeoftheGator Nicks, Hakeem NYG WR Mon Feb 6 4:01:28 p.m. ET 2012 - If I told you that Nicks is less than 6 months older than AJ Green, would you be surprised? I have Megatron in a tier of his own, but Nicks is at the top of my Dynasty Tier 2 of WRs based on age, skill and his offense. With Eli looking like he has turned a corner, Cruz emerging on the other side - if Nicks can turn in a healthy season, he can be one of the most dominant WRs in the NFL.1.10 10. @PFF_ChadParsons Stafford, Matthew DET QB Mon Feb 6 4:59:36 p.m. ET 2012 - Lots of directions to go in the 1st/2nd range this year. With Rodgers, Cam, Brees off the board, I will take a 24-year-old QB that will put up 4,000+ yards/season easily without injury (his big caveat). The elite, difference-making QBs fall off quickly, especially if you don't want Brady (35 YO before 2012 season begins). Stafford has gone in the top-10 in 2 of the 3 startup drafts (start 1-QB) in 2012, so this is about right for him.1.11 11. @DynastyTim Forte, Matt CHI RB Mon Feb 6 6:59:09 p.m. ET 2012 - Not all together surprised he's still here for me, but the elite RBs are drying up quickly and the WRs who are left are solid enough for me to wait until after the turn.1.12 12. @jrnall2 Green, A.J. CIN WR Mon Feb 6 7:05:34 p.m. ET 2012 - Really thought I could get Nicks and Green at the turn. Green is my 2nd WR behind Megatron. Amazing talent with incredibly high ceiling.2.01 13. @jrnall2 Jones, Julio ATL WR Mon Feb 6 7:09:46 p.m. ET 2012 - Strongly thought about Mathews, Charles and Gronk. QB top tier gone. Came down to getting 2 of my top 5 WRs. Debated Fitz, but going with Julio bc Of youth and QB play.2.02 14. @DynastyTim Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR Mon Feb 6 7:13:46 p.m. ET 2012 - He's just too good to pass up. Sure he'll be 29 at the start of 2012, but he's got years of top notch production in him. Must admit I was tempted by the RB value still on the board.2.03 15. @PFF_ChadParsons Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE Mon Feb 6 7:40:28 p.m. ET 2012 - Some top (although flawed) RBs are still on the board, but the first couple of selections need to be long-term difference makers in my opinion. It's difficult to win in the early rounds of a dynasty start-up, but easy to lose. An RB suffering a serious injury can derail a dynasty team in a single play. After locking up Stafford, I will take another player with the potential of 10+ years of top production.2.04 16. @SetMyRoster Johnson, Andre HOU WR Mon Feb 6 9:29:36 p.m. ET 2012 - I still consider Johnson an elite WR when healthy. With young studs AJ Green and Julio Jones off the board I want a proven producer this early in the draft.2.05 17. @Bryan_Fontaine Graham, Jimmy NOS TE Mon Feb 6 9:36:15 p.m. ET 2012 - Graham is my No. 2 TE after Gronkowski. Both are in an elite tier, and it drops off after these two. I've never seen a TE like Graham, he may be more athletic than Tony Gonzalez was in his prime. And he's got Drew Brees as his QB in a high-powered offense. Thrilled to pair both Saints players with my first two picks2.06 18. @BeRanDone Johnson, Chris TEN RB Mon Feb 6 11:45:23 p.m. ET 2012 - Contemplated taking him with 12 picks ago and he's still on the board. Johnson is one of the elite talents left at RB that ISN'T coming off an injury. The reward far outweighs the risk here; all he needs to do is produce.2.07 19. @DLFootball Mathews, Ryan SDC RB Tue Feb 7 9:10:56 a.m. ET 2012 - Planned on taking a RB w/ my late 2nd round pick, but when Mathews was still on the board at 2.06, I started working on trading up. Love his potential in that offense, especially w/ Tolbert likely moving on. Even with the minor injuries costing him some time, he finished as the RB6 last season.2.08 20. @RoadWarrior99 Charles, Jamaal KCC RB Tue Feb 7 11:15:03 a.m. ET 2012 - Bit of risk coming off the ACL, but there is so much potential. Another player I can see years of service from. Also becomes a much more attractive option with the Haley factor gone.
