UPDATE, 2:04 p.m.: This is interesting Chien-Ming Wang us throwing live BP on the field. He’s facing Ransom and Cabrera.

UPDATE, 2:13 p.m.: Wang threw 21 pitches and looked good. Sinker was down. He said he felt good.

I could look good against those guys!

Losing Nady is a big hit to the depth of the OF offensively. Cabrera can play all of the positions, but his bat will hurt especially with A-Rod out of the lineup. Hopefully Gardner is turning a corner and becoming a legitimate big leaguer.

IIRC, the Pirates were offering him a contract last year and he turned it down with his eyes to this offseason.
