Goodbye Florida(I'm back!...for the week) (1 Viewer)

The 90 degree humidity is back. You know it sucks when you walk out side at 6:30 and you are instantly hot. Anything you do outside makes you sweat. The weather will be miserably hot from now until about October. I'd much rather be hot than cold though.
:goodposting: except for your last sentence. I would prefer to be cold. Everything here now is a concrete jungle. Work on the roads everywhere you go. It's ugly and annoying to top off how hot you already are. I want to move to NC but all my family and friends are here. Would miss being around them.

But Florida sucks.
You still in Tampa? That's what I love about the east coast of Florida. Always a breeze, not densely populated, not too hot, not too cold. The stretch between Saint Augustine and Daytona are little beach towns with very little traffic. Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Ormond Beach. All gorgeous places.
Outside of Tampa. Dunedin.

There is definitely a lot of beautiful spots here. For about 2 minutes on my way home there is a strip of road on the water that makes you feel good about where you live. But that's after 30 minutes of driving behind 90-year-olds or some ####head weaving in and out of traffic because he's texting. On a road where there is construction for 5 miles.

I know where Dunedin is. I have a friend in Palm Harbour. The Gulf is beautiful but it's too damn hot and overpopulated for me.

I can see how someone could get tired of it after growing up here, but I think it's that way for most people with where they grew up.

I couldn't live in Pinellas, unless I was on the water...and I grew up there.

Tampa is where it's at (minus South Tampa).

When I was young I loved it. Then they poured concrete over everything and it lost it's charm. It is over developed and overcrowded IMO. Especially South Florida. North Florida is too much like southern Georgia for my tastes.

Traffic sucks but that's pretty much anywhere in the south with urban sprawl. It has it's pros & cons. It's nice to be close to things and have a variety of restaurant's & places to shop.

FL is awesome if you are at the beach or chilling by a pool.

I have always preferred the mountains to the beach personally. And pools are just something else to clean.

Ditto, which is why I moved from Florida to Utah.

I'm a southern guy so North Florida is great for me. Love the laid back lifestyle. Other parts of Florida are fun to visit but I could never live there. As you said, it's too over developed and crowded. North Florida gets a little cooler so not as many people move here.

I grew up a couple hours from the mountains. Does nothing for me. It's all relative but the winters are freaking cold and there isn't #### to do for months.

Oh I am a southerner but that part of Florida can be too southern for me if you catch my drift.

I'll be moving from near the beach to Near the mountains next year. I don't really go to the beach too much but the one thing I'm gonna miss is saltwater fishing...I'll be about 3 hours away from the North Carolina coast so my fishing trips will be fewer. Freshwater fishing just isn't the same.

Definitely a difference. Although you will have to travel the Outer Banks are supposed to have some awesome fishing.

Interesting... 85 and not all that humid up in palm beach county. Nice day here.

It is getting hotter by the day. Not looking forward to Jun-Sep. that said it beats snow.

65 in Tampa this morning with a clear sky and bright sun. No humidity. This spring has been ridiculously nice.
