I like Gooden a lot more than Adibi, but he will not have much of a chance to play right away, so Gooden by far long-term, and Adibi short-term. Gooden has a big edge in talent to me.
I would rank them in dyno drafts as the following:Beau Bell--he will start at some point this year and has the talent to be a playmaker for years to come.Gooden-With Ray Lewis and Bart Scott's contract issues, it is a good chance Gooden will be starting at in either of their spots when the contracts don't get worked out. He is talented as hell and will get his chance next year.Adibi-Speed in coverage is Adibi's main issue. The guy had a good OTA session and Kubiak is already talking about his instincts and presence on the field. It is hard to say when he will take over the WILL from Marlon Greenwood, but when he does he should put up solid LB2 numbers for years to come as the WILL has been a productive IDP spot in the Houston defensive scheme in recent years.
Gooden - Once Ray calls it a career, he will step in and be productive. It's a position that we've seen good production from (i.e. when Ray was injured)
Bell - I like his talent, but I am not sure the ILB position in CLE will be ultra productive. Lower end LB2-3 at best IMO
Adibi - I love this kid and he is a playmaker. I think he'll be good, but just not up to the level of the other two.
I honestly don't see huge separation between the three guys though.
ADIBi. Talent and situation are above average as Houston gets more talent around Ryans.
BELL. Talented enough but has a so/so situation. If he takes to the system perfectly could be way ahead of Adibi in '09.
GOODEN. Put him in a Vanderbilt (or any non-Miami) uniform in college and he wouldn't even be mentioned. Great situation but just not that good. He'll probably get a chance to start at some point though.
Adibe is catching a buzz and might see the field this year and he's a good bet to start next year when Greenwood's contract starts to get pricey. We haven't read a peep about Gooden and Ray Lewis looks to be getting an extension. I'm leaning towards Adibi at this moment
