i like it quite a bit. i've been holding off on getting my son an Xbox or PS for awhile now. I've been letting him play simple games from an older Wii and my phone. The $9/month Pr subscription include access to all the games active in their library? You don't pay for title with the subscription price but you would with their Basic subscription?

Mine was delivered yesterday. Pretty easy to set up. I only played about a half hour of Destiny 2 (side note I forgot how awful I am at video games lol)
Obviously I'm no hard core gamer but was pretty pleased with the experience. I noticed absolutely no lag and my oled tv showed no pixelation or problems with display, though I'm not sure I was getting 4k. It was late and I just wanted to finish the intro so I didn't really get into settings etc. I should be able to mess with it a little bit again later tonight.

From what I see so far, the titles are limited with more coming in the future. But they are like other platforms in the $40-60 range, and special/bundle editions going much higher. Their "pro subscription" offers a few free games each month I think with some select titles upwards of half off.
That's what I don't get about this. It's $130 to get the hardware to run this. Consoles are $150 now and now include game streaming just the same as Stadia, except with a much huger library and you get the advantage of not having to stream while at home. And they work on more devices than Stadia on the road to boot.
I guess eventually Stadia will get to the point where it doesn't have a cost of entry other than the controller and where it works on more than just google devices but man, OnLive launched 10 years ago with no cost of entry and working on any mobile device. It's hard to believe this thing still has this far to go.

You're definitely right if you buy the packs that are offered now... I guess eventually you can use just a Stadia controler ($70) if you already have a Chromecast Ultra like I do, or use a third party controller as well. That's probably when I'd jump in

You're paying for the supposed "free library," in truth. A chromecast is $30. No idea how much the controller is. The cash grab is holding out on the free version and not letting people just get the activation codes.
I'll almost certainly get it eventually. I'm not looking for a huge library (and the library isn't much different than many consoles have been at launch). A relatively cheap way to play strategy games without needing more than a Chromebook is worth it to me. And the idea that I won't be constantly wondering if my hardware is obsolete.
