Grade your team’s draft 2025 (1 Viewer)

Seahawks A

Zabel - best OG in the draft testing scores through the roof. Clearly a need.
Emmanwori - had the 30 visit, clearly they have a plan for him. Mike M gets his joker type player.
Arroyo - another 30 visit player. Has the best vertical game from the TE's in the class. Some injury issues.
Milroe - huge pick. This is the range of the draft that puts him in an excellent position to develop. Will have some sub-package appeal as well. Don't see him as a Tysom Hill....he will be the QB in 2026 or 2027. MM could see up close the pressure that Lamar put on teams. High character, academic Heisman winner, parents both in the military. He will work to improve his craft.

Those 4 alone, highest grades athleticism score as a group in 20 years.

Ryan Mills DT 5th round. Captain and would have been a day 2 pick if not for the injury....mid season return, great depth.
Tory Horton WR 5th round. Great value - should be a contributor right away. Supplant MVS as deep threat.
Ouzts FB 5th round. Head scratcher at first, but 6'1 275 lbs, they want a pure FB and they got one. Maybe early but I'm ok with it.
Cabeldue 6th round - awesome pick, top %'ile for explosiveness and will compete at RG straight away
D Martinez 7th round - another great pick....Seattle needs depth at RB given Walker's injury prone. 4.4yrds after contact #2 behind Jeanty. only 8.2% runs stuffed #1. 6.7 YPC in between tackle runs #2 in class, and 37% of runs on 1st down gains #3 in class. Wicked value.
Mason Richman OG Iowa - he's a lineman from Iowa, nuff said
Ricky White III WR from UNLV - produces, excellent special teamer...great pick.

Signed some UDFA at CB, Zy Alexander, DT Jared Ivy.

Expect some vets to sign in the coming days to fill holes, Shaq Griffin being one.

I love what the Boys did. PFF gave them an A+ (1 of only 3 given out). SI gave Dallas a B+, out-drafting Philly and Washington.

Day-2 was especially good with 2 grand slams (Ezieruaku and Revel). Their 1st round pick was nice and safe with Booker, but the Cowboys are doing a good job of rebuilding their OL. They're now the youngest group in the league, which includes 3 1st round picks and a 3rd-rounder.

I'll eat some humble pie and only give them an A.
If they could have traded down and still got Booker, then I would give them an A. Second and third round picks were great. Have to wait and see on the other picks, especially RB. Still no WR 2, so a little disappointed. Overall about as good as you can expect without having a 4th round pick.
WR would've been nice. Slim pickings on day-3 with this class, though, so I'd rather go somewhere else rather than take a WR just to be taking one.
I would love for them to sign FA Isaiah Bond. To me he is as good as any of the WRs on Dallas except Lamb.
If things work out in Bond's favor, he would be a great pickup.
The NFL apparently didn’t like him.
Well, the SA allegation has teams hesitant, obviously.

Texans : B

(needs : Weapons, OL) - the draft of "Jay" or "Jay-den/lin/len"

It was a tale of three days. The Texans traded down with multiple desirable OL on the board and those players went before their first second round pick. They got both Iowa State WRs, Higgins being one of my favorites in the entire draft, and later Noel with probably the best value draft pick we had. Ersery becomes a good value pick where taken at a position of clear need and not a ton of draft capital to go up and get him ; future starting LT.

On the flip side, the middle rounds were head scratchers of moving around and giving up future capital to draft questionable Trojans. Smith was the reach of the draft and cost them a lot to move up when there were still good OL on the board. Injury risk with too much capital given up to go get him when he'd have been there 5 picks later where you were. Marks became the second reach as they did clearly like him, but gave up a future 3rd to go get him and again feels like an overpay. Mertz was possibly the worst pick of our draft and that's because of the player. If we felt like we needed a backup, it'd have been smarter to grab Sanders a little earlier and you also had QBs like Ewers on the board at that point or Sanders, McCord, or Howard earlier in that round/one round before.

Reed was a good return to sanity pick and continued the run on "Jay" picks (personal love). Hamilton was also a great value at a position of need in the middle of the DL. We wrapped with one of my favorite value picks in Lachey. Had he not been hurt in 2023, he might have been up there with this draft's top TEs. Iowa's offense did him no favors in 2024, but if that potential we saw in 2022/2023 is still there, the Texans might have gotten the steal of the draft to end our draft.

Denver Broncos

I give them an A++

I love the fact that they went into the first round wanting certain positions but went BPA anyways!

I'm still annoyed that they (different GM and HC) FROZE in the 2020 second round and drafted KJ Hamler anyways, despite selecting Jerry Jeudy (who fell to them to their surprise). GM George Payton knowing they could get RB RJ Harvey later moved down twice picking up assets, brilliant. I think evaluating the players drafted takes way too long to do right after the draft, but I'm confident in grading their management of the draft... BRILLIANT!!

I was in shock and disappointment they went CB in the first, but am so glad they were fluid and smart about their decision making process. If this new CB can be almost as good as PS2, wtf wow excited.

And Sean Payton's "hand caught in the cookie jar" reaction post-draft to RJ Harvey gives me hope for the position.

Steelers C-

I like a lot of the players, but they have no coherent team building strategy. Their off season ahs generally been about trying to make a run this year (assuming Rodgers). However Harmon is clearly a pick for the future. If you go all in don't leave 1 chip in your stack. I don't really like the Sawyer or Black picks. Their upside is low.

Noting my fellow Bengals fans' lack of enthusiasm about our draft I will give us a C with an exclamation point.

C!

Steelers A-

Omar is a man with a plan. Smart draft. Bumped from B+ to A- for NOT reaching on QB in round 1. Avoided another Kenny Pickett disaster that would’ve set the team back a few years.

In a draft deep in DL and RB, Omar rang those bells several times. Clear focus getting younger in the defensive front 7 especially vs the run. Draft was very weak at WR so landed DK Metcalf with the 2nd round pick. He’s better than any WR the team could’ve drafted there 100%.

OL depth is concerning and the D rookies will take time to develop before making a big impact. Feels like the team knows on the DL this season is a volleyball set for a QB spike in 2026.

1 - DL Derrick Harmon
2 - WR DK Metcalf via trade
3 - RB Kaleb Johnson
4 - LB Jack Sawyer
5 - Yahya immovable object Black
6 - QB Will Howard ,, team needed a young QB to have on the roster past 2025
7 - LB Bruener
7 - CB Donte Kent

Lions: C

Players were fine but the means to acquire some of them was questionalble.
I’ve seen a few experts say that the value of two late thirds next year to move up that much for Teslaa isn’t too bad. But it sure seems like they could have waited 10 or 15 more picks and paid a lot less.

The 3 spot jump for ratledge was probably worse value-wise, but I’m not concerned about it if they had ratledge rated a lot higher than their next-best guard. It was a big need.
Detroit Lions:

I give the Williams pick a B+. Reports were that he was the last D-lineman in his bucket. I don't think Holmes was enamored with the edges there. Elite run defender with upside as a pass rusher. Comp was Alim McNeill.

I liked the trade up for Ratledge. The cost was a bit much but well worth it imo. I love his game. The pick gets an A from me.

The TeSlaa pick gets a B- and the trade up gets a D+. He is an elite athlete with great size and speed but somewhat raw with route running. Great hands, tough and willing run blocker. Lots of upside here but wasn't very productive. I just thought he could have at least waited until the middle of the 3rd but who knows.

Frazier is an A because of where he was drafted. The value was tremendous. The interior offensive line is younger and better. It's the best depth we've had in years.

Hassanein gets a B-. He is pretty good, high energy relentless motor character guy...basically a Detroit Lions kind of player. When asked about Dan Campbell, he said, "I'll die for that guy". He had some success at Boise State but is a 6th round pick for a reason.

The last 2 picks, Jackson and Lovett both get a C. Basically end of roster types.

Overall B. I liked the players enough to give them a higher grade but can't because they didn't get an edge rusher. I especially loved getting the two guards.

Titans B-

Round 1 (No. 1): QB Cam Ward, Miami
Obvious, Easy Pick. The question is whether they can develop him. I think he’ll be an above average starter.

Round 2 (No. 52): Edge Oluwafemi Oladejo, UCLA
Don’t know much about him but they really needed edge and the trade down to add a 3 was smart.

Round 3 (No. 82): S Kevin Winston Jr., Penn State
Another need, seems to need coaching but has talent.

Round 4 (No. 103): WR Chimere Dike, Florida
Speed Guy but might be the 5th best receiver the titans acquired this week.

Round 4 (No. 120): TE Gunnar Helm, Texas
Seems to be a better receiver than blocker, not what I wanted if they took a TE.

Round 4 (No. 136): WR Elic Ayomanor, Stanford
Very reasonable trade up to get a receiver who probably should have gone earlier.

Round 5 (No. 167): OG Jackson Slater, Sacramento State
small school guard, hopefully a depth piece

Round 6 (No. 183): CB Marcus Harris, California
not expecting much but he has speed

Round 6 (No. 188): RB Kalel Mullings, Michigan
Maybe a short yardage guy, not expecting anything here

The best pick was a UDFA, Xavier Restrepo. Could be a Hunter Renfrow type, chain mover. Won’t break away but has some Wes Welker light ability.

I like a lot of the players, but they have no coherent team building strategy.

Steelers A-

Omar is a man with a plan.
Ha, that's close to 180 takes.

I'm with Grid except I'd go the full A.

1. Harmon-I drafted him to the Steelers in our FBG mock draft so obviously down for the pick. Immediate and long term need fit BPA.

3. Kaleb-perfect RB for the system. If the Steelers had a second they might have taken him. Had the Bears taken him after Henderson went in front of them I'd not have been surprised as he's ideal for both of their systems.

4. Jack Sawyer- Some people I respect had second round grades on him, great value. Not an immediate need and maybe that's smart to go BPA.

5. Yahya Black- really good scheme fit, more of a two down player but he's stout vs the run and should help free up our strong group of LB's.

6. Will Howard-meh but they needed depth and despite the super low hit rates I'm always a fan of taking a stab at developmental QB.

7.Donte Kent-don't know much about him but the position needed depth, he can run and very experienced with 47 career starts.

Browns- B

Changes to an A if the Jags suck this year, changes to a C if the Jags make the playoffs.
I’m a Browns fan and I’m in the D range with the QB picks. Hope they prove me wrong but they rarely do.
Ignoring QB, I'm on board with a B. Their problems seem to crop up as the day goes on. AB nailed the open to night 1, but given his contingency plan night 2 he flubbed the end to night 1. If the pivot was ILB / RB, then we needed to be more assertive when only 2 OT's remained at pick 29. He wasn't and we got burned. With 18 hours to regroup, while unexpected, I like what they did at 33, 36, and 67. Those late night issues lingered though.

I write this understanding what I wrote at the outset, but Gabriel in the 3rd was a wasted pick. If that's the play, then trade out and regroup day 3. I get what they did in the 4th and 5th, but nothing about that Gabriel picks makes sense. It reeks of no plan. Please prove me wrong.

Colts B+

I thought going into the draft the Colts needed a TE, DL, OL, CB, LB. I loved their first two picks, but Justin Walley is kind of a head scratcher. Some potential with the OT Travis in the 4th. Giddens in the 5th round was a steal and should provide better depth at RB than they had last year, which was pretty bad.

1st round -Tyler Warren| TE | Penn St. - We all know how bad they needed one of Warren or Loveland. They haven't had a viable TE since Dallas Clark

2nd round - J.T. Tuimoloau | Edge | Ohio State - 21.5 TFL in 2024 (3rd in FBS), 12.5 sacks in 2024 (T-5th in FBS), 6.5 sacks in four playoff games. Potential stud.

3rd round - Justin Walley | CB | Minnesota - Some might consider this a reach. 155 tackles (113 solo), 27 passes defended, seven picks, and a defensive score. Not currently happy with the pick. Sure, he could prove me wrong, but I think better players could have been selected with a 3rd round pick.

4th round - moved back 10 spots for an additional 2026 4th and 6th. Great trade.
4th round - Jalen Travis | OT | Iowa St. - great size and long arms. High ceiling guy. Had the second-best vertical leap and tied for the fourth-best broad jump for the offensive linemen at the combine. Position of need.

5th round- DJ Giddens | RB | Kansas St. - Excellent backup for Taylor. What they had last year was garbage.

6th round - Riley Leonard | QB | Norte Dame - Good 3rd string guy. Every team needs someone like him.
6th round - Tim Smith | DT | Alabama - Depth piece. I don’t know anything about him.

7th round - Hunter Wohler | S | Wisconsin - Depth guy - In 2023, he led all Big Ten defensive backs with 120 total tackles, the highest for a Badger DB since 1991. His 74 solo tackles topped all defensive backs nationally.

Leonard seems perfect for the Colts.

I give the Eagles an A+

It seemed that the other 31 teams didn't want to work any big deals with Howie. It was said that many teams were blocking the 215 area code. Eagles have many players that will need to get paid soon so Howie needs the cap to continually increase plus add young depth to the defense. Given all that plus the dudes we got plus added more picks for 2026 I give an A+.
It’s difficult to go A+ for the Eagles. Do I think Howie maximized his selections? I do. In the first round, Jiihad Campbell is a no brainer, swing for the fences every time kind of pick. From there I can’t fault him for who he picked but as it played out there were better players within reach with a minor trade up. When value wasn’t there he traded down and If other GMs locked him out of trade ups it is what it is. His post draft PC had a disappointed vibe which I totally get. I’ll go B-
Yeah if that’s an A+ I’m going to have to see the rubric. I’m not criticizing it - I think they did well with the capital they had to work with. I’m not expecting multiple starters in year 1. They added some depth, a few chess ♟️ pieces for Fangio to put to work and a couple of interesting developmental guys in the massive OTs and the QB. I don’t believe the reports of blocked calls but I wouldn’t be surprised if other GMs are trying to squeeze more value out of Howie when he tries to move up. That would explain the lack of action day 2, which was a bummer because I thought there were a lot of interesting players to be had and they usually are more aggressive.

I’m giving the Patriots draft an A+. Time will tell how impactful this draft ends up for this franchise but this is probably the best I’ve ever felt about a Patriots draft from top to bottom, and the most excited I’ve been since the 2010 draft haul.

Will Campbell - Got a guy who will be a fixture on the left side of the OL in Campbell, and whether he sticks at LT or is moved to LG remains to be seen. But he’s got the athleticism and the toughness and the smarts to be the LT. It’s such an important pick for the future of this franchise and I’m glad they didn’t mess around and just got their guy instead.

TreVeyon Henderson - I was originally an advocate of using the pick on Ashton Jeanty, but having Henderson fall to 38 was such a blessing. If he had about 10 more lbs. on him he probably could’ve been drafted in the 1st round. Henderson broke out as a true freshman and had his most efficient season ever as a senior. I thought for sure the Browns would take him with one of their two 2nd rounders. Once the Pats were on the clock I was hoping to hear either Henderson’s name or Luther Burden’s. I’m delighted the Pats got what should be a premium weapon for their offense. This kid can do it all.

Kyle Williams - I was hoping more for Jaylin Noel but Williams was the other guy I wanted if they were taking WR in the 3rd. Very happy they got him. One of the best separators at the position in the draft, though he needs to work on his hands. I’m very interested in how they’ll use him as a rookie.

Jared Wilson - Got the best center in the class and yet another long term piece for the offense. Would like to see him push Garrett Bradbury in camp for the starting job but it’s okay if he needs a year on the bench to learn.

Craig Woodson - First head scratcher of the draft for me but it seems he’s a high character guy who is versatile as a safety. If he ends up being the long term free safety then this is a great value. I don’t mind it, it’s just funny because this is the kind of guy Bill Belichick would’ve reached for in the second round. I was personally hoping for Jack Sawyer at this pick but I can only guess Mike Vrabel (an Ohio State guy and someone who Daniel Jeremiah compared him to) wasn’t interested enough, and it was fine because they got a steal of an edge later on.

Joshua Farmer - Loved this pick too, and kudos to Wolf and Co. for timing it just right to get Farmer to get ahead of the rush on defensive tackles.

Bradyn Swinson - Even if he ends up a rotational DL like Deatrich Wise was, this was a tremendous value pick. I’ll be honest, I don’t know too much about these college players apart from what I’ve heard here and there, aside from Campbell and Henderson. But the Swinson pick raised a lot of eyebrows in a good way.

Andres Borregales - Got arguably the best kicker in the class and didn’t have to burn a 4th or 5th rounder this time. Feels nice. Kicker was a big need and Borregales was the guy I most wanted them to take a late round flier on. Very happy that they did. Thought it was noteworthy that the Ravens took Tyler Loop a few picks later, so yet another example of the Pats brain trust timing it just right.

Marcus Bryant - Interesting that the Pats took the other Mizzou OT, and the guy who actually started at LT for them. Apparently Armand Membou moved to RT because Bryant could only play LT. I would’ve preferred Logan Brown (who went undrafted) as the OT flier but that’s just me. I also wanted Quinn Ewers as the third string developmental guy to replace Joe Milton’s spot. But OT is a bigger need so I understand the dart throw on the off-chance that Bryant becomes something.

Julian Ashby - Another pick that raised some eyebrows, mainly because it meant long time long snapper and last remaining member of the 2018 championship team Joe Cardona was on the outs. But it addresses a need (at least one they’ve identified) and they secured him rather than competed with other teams in the post-draft market. Good choice there.

Kobee Minor - I’ve got nothing.

All in all the team did a great job of addressing all three phases and there weren’t any Cole Strange-like reaches. Even with the Woodson pick in the 4th round, he had a 3rd round grade from Jeremiah. If the Woodson and Swinson picks swapped places I think people would still be very satisfied. Part of it is an indictment on the state of the roster but I’m confident that at least 9 out of the 11 draftees are making the team and a good amount of them could have an impact right away. This is still a work in progress and it remains to be seen what this team will look like when the games count, but this offseason so far has been a breath of fresh air. I feel great about the draft results for the first time in forever and that’s a nice start.

AC - A+
Jaxon Dart - C due to the move up and costing 2 3rd rounders
Darius Alexander- A
Skattebo - B
Mbow- A

Overall- B+
Adding Mbou at 154 was great value
Fidone II at 243 and
Black at 246
I'll bump them up to an A
Especially with the Mbou pick

I give the Eagles an A+

It seemed that the other 31 teams didn't want to work any big deals with Howie. It was said that many teams were blocking the 215 area code. Eagles have many players that will need to get paid soon so Howie needs the cap to continually increase plus add young depth to the defense. Given all that plus the dudes we got plus added more picks for 2026 I give an A+.

I watch video of the Eagles draft war room. Starting at 22 with the Chargers, Howie was calling to try and trade up for Jihaad Campbell. No one wanted to trade with him, with Washington's GM saying there was an "in-division tax" if he wanted to trade, and when they took Conerly, Howie said, "that's a good pick." When Atlanta traded back into the 1st round and Howie saw the details of the trade, he quipped, "no wonder no one wants to take our deal." He finally did a deal with KC, giving them a free pick to make sure they got Campbell.
