Grading an auction draft statistically? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for a way to rank the auction draft our playoff league had. A simple points per dollar spent is one way to do this, but it is difficult to compare different positions. I just want to find some kind of baseline and rank all players on an equal playing field... does anyone have any advice?thanks

Points over the worst playoff starter at that position for that round. Ex: If Peyton scores the most in week 2 of the playoffs (say 40) and Rodgers scores the least among QBs (say 10), then Peyton is + 30. If Kaep scored 25, then he's +15. Do the same for other positions and add them up.

This makes sense to me. For assigning regular season values, I prefer using expected # taken by a spot in the draft as a baseline (i.e. if I expect 40 RBs and 10QBs to be taken in the top 100, then the 40th RB and 10th QB are the baseline for their positions). But that's designed to account for the need for bench depth at certain positions, which probably doesn't matter as much in a playoff league.
