Gradkowski (1 Viewer)

I watched the replay on NFL network of the Oakland vs Houston game. I liked what I saw from Gradkowski, his is very accurate and moves well in the pocket. I had to plug him in last week with Favre on a bye and Kolb on the bench. But now that both guys are healthy and starting, I'm still thinking Gradkowski is the play. San Diego boasts the #2 rated pass def, but look at who they have played so far: @KC Jac @Sea Ari. None of those teams has much of a passing threat...so don't put too much stock in the #2 rated pass def rating.

I think Gradkowski is a solid play this week, despite the "passing matchup". Oakland will be down early, and they will have to throw a lot. He has a great rapport with Z. Miller and some decent young WRs. The loss of McFadden hurts a little...but I would say 250 yd 2 td 1 int this week are very reachable for him.

I think Gradkowski could be a top-15 QB going forward. The loss of McFadden is huge & Murphy being hobbled hurts too. I'm just not sure he can go for 250 & 2 this week due to those factors, but I'd start him over a McNabb, Kolb, Sanchez, Hill type guy.

I like Gradkowski too. He seems able to move the Oakland offense better than any QB we've seen there in years, and the Raiders should find themselves in their share of QB-friendly garbage-time capers. He plays with a kind of fearlessness that means turnovers should probably be expected, but it also means that at least he'll be willing to take some shots down the field and pick up a few yards with his feet.

His 2 ints last week came off of deflections, and both balls should have been caught. He was actually very careful and accurate with the ball.

Surprised at for the Gradkowski love this week. SD is 4th ranked pass D and have only allowed 3 passing TDs this year. Actually considering benching Miller in a non-TE league based on the match-up. What am I missing?

Perhaps go back and read the opening post. Look at the teams they Chargers have played so far. Makes for a pretty good defensive rating.

The boy better figure out how and when to slide... I thought Pollard may have killed him last week!

Taking big shots from safeties when picking up a few yards with your feet is a good way to watch the rest of the game ( or year ) from the sidelines. I like the way he moves the team, and I'd prefer to see him out there winging it around and make OAK a respectable NFL team.

Someone tell him its OK to slide!!!

went to the game and while at times he was accurate, many we're short passed to rb's and miller. He missed so very wide open guys against a soft HOU secondary. I'd be careful starting any raider other than bush, mcfadden, miller

Can't the same be said about Gradkowski? Rams, Cards and Houston aren't stopping teams.
