Graham's Backup? (1 Viewer)

Bennett came on strong late in the preseason. Was supposed to be Dunn's job though. Any word on who it would be if Graham went down?

Could be a nice ppr guy here.

I think Bennett will now eat into Warrick Dunn's touches as the change of pace speed guy with Tampa utitlizing all three of them, assuming Dunn and Bennett can stay healthy longer than a quarter. Graham will still get the lions share and the goal line work, especially if they have a lead in the 4th, Graham is the man.

I think it will be more of a committee approach then many people think anyway and if Graham went down it would be even more so.

Plenty of people think it will be a committee approach, that's why Graham's ADP has dropped so low he has become a serious steal. a 3rd-5th round guy that will put up solid 2nd RB numbers. Lets compare what Dunn and Bennett have done lately to what Graham did last year. Bennett is a one dimensional injury prone runner that couldn't hack it in a Chiefs back field that had no depth, Dunn is a old small back that has seriously lost a step with an attrocious 3.3 ypc last year. These guys are just role players. If the buc's D holds up, Graham should see 20+ carries and 3-4 receptions per game, with increases in that if anything happens to Dunn or Bennett, which is likely.

According to my footballguys VDP app his ADP is late in the 3rd round.Like I said, I think it will be more of a committee approach then many people think and where Graham is going I think he's the farthest thing from a steal.

Just my opinion.

My thinking exactly. I don't think that Graham has a back up because it will be by committee.

I have to say I agree with the RBBC, but I could see Bennett getting the lion's share up to 70/30 in his direction.

I know what you said, but it would be nice if you explained why, unless you have some inside info that no one knows about? It certainly isn't because Bennett or Dunn are more productive at this time in their careers. And it certainly isn't because Graham has done anything to lose his work load that he earned in 10 games last year. Almost every team has some sort of RBBC approach. Dunn and Bennet will get some work, but if you're telling me it's going to be 50/50 or 33/33/33, there is absolutely nothing to suggest that. Graham has 16 games to match his production of what he did in 10 last year, if he matches it he's still a good number 2. If he builds on it it can only get better.

I surely don't have inside info.Just my opinion, but I don't think Graham is that good. He did a workman like job and make the most of his opportunity.

Tampa is paying Dunn more than Graham and we know Gruden loves him. Bennett has looked good this pre-season. Now Bennett and Dunn, at this point in their careers, are no great shakes, but I think they offer enough to take enough work away from Graham that it will be more than "spelling the starter".

If you looking for some unequivocal facts to prove my point of view I just don't have it.

Again, just my opinion.

I can respect that, but Graham has done nothing but produce, even if he's not a flashy player that can break long runs. He fits much better in the Bucs ball control attack, and had a 13 reception game last year. He can catch, block, and move the chains and not to mention his goaline success rate. Even if Dunn and Bennett stay healthy Graham should get 200+ carries, 10 TDs and 40 receptions. I'm not arguing that he's going to be a stud, even though last years stats over 16 games would indicate it, but definitely a solid #2. Bennett and Dunn can only be successful in change of pace roles, they cannot carry the load or grind out tough yards. Graham can that's why he'll get most the work.

I live outside of Tampa and from everything I've read and seen, this is Graham's job. I see the carries being split 80/20 between Graham/Dunn. Graham had limited carries during the preseason because he will be the featured back.

Bennett has absolutely no value unless both backs became injured.

2 cents from a local Tampa homer.
