Jackson said something along the lines of "are you 'severely mentally challenged' " to Irvin

I saw this on Sunday pre-game and must have laughed for at least 2 minutes. My wife had to come see what all the laughter was about and I am so grateful for Tivo. Boomer could barely contain himself and finish before the break.
I get the feeling Jackson has heard Irvin enough and it's hillarious to watch him chump him out regularly.

I remember that, but it was good to see it again. When I saw it live, I didn't really catch the look Marino was giving Esiason at the end when Gumbel was talking. That was awesome.

I saw it live and noted the look. It was classic for two reasons: 1) it was Boomer sticking his foot in his mouth as usual, and 2) he was right!

I've been dying to ask Irvin that question since he started on the show. Never have truer words been spoken.
It's a word way too worked into everyday english (like it or not) and pop culture. No way Tom gets more than a slap on the wrist for this, and nor should he.
By the way, I'm telling you the black is the better athlete.

I think he threw a hissy fit because he was mad at HIMSELF for not challenging Rush during the show. He kind of let it slide and only spoke out the next week. I think Limbaugh ran himself off, and wanted the extra "woe is me" for his radio show. He certainly milked it for weeks afterward. A good third of the calls were about ESPN.
