Greatest QB/WR Combo of All-Time (1 Viewer)

Seriously, are you throwing brooks/horn.....garcia/owens......in this discussion. i bet if there was a penalty of no watching football for a year if you make STUPID suggetions, those would not have been said. I seen someone mention manning/harrison is overated.....ahh thats what they always say but how can you over rate there stats that is the tops in every combo catagory.

And over a short time it could have been mitchell to moore (Detroit Leos)......... wait no football for me for a year. LOL.

young to riceyoung > joe m
Young may be better than Joe M, but Joe M and Rice were better than Young and Rice. Young spread the ball around a lot more and didn't lock on nearly as much as Montana did.

young > montanarice = ricebutmontana/rice > young/rice
I am a big fan of both connections. But to me, Montana>>Young as a QB. Montana and Young were both deadly accurate. Both had decent arms. Young was definitly better with his legs, but Montana could get out of trouble himself. And both were very intelligent QBs. In the clutch though, I take Montana all day. Montana to Rice was just scary, if they would of played together as long as Manning and Harrison have, they would own the records IMO.

Manning and Harrison are still playing and own the combo (reception and td) records. Note the "still playing". I give it to Manning/Harrison.
Agreed. Manning/ Harrison owns. Peyton Manning will shatter every record in the book is the best QB ever. Bill Walsh is the best coordinator ever. I feel that Steve Young was probably more talented than Mr. Montana. BLASPHEMY??? Throwing to Jerry Rice in the first West Coast offense will make you look great. Manning does it all, is a coach on the field and has the most unbelievable repoire with Marvin. They could run patterns blind folded.

Yup. Billy Volek is barely QB enough to hold McNair's jock, but tell me which was a better combo- McNair/Bennett, or Volek/Bennett? And Brady is a better QB than Culpepper, but I suspect Culpepper/Moss will be a better combo than Brady/Moss. Part of the combo is how skilled the two players are, and part of the combo is the CHEMISTRY AND CONNECTION between the two players, and the chemistry was just better with Montana than with Young.

Depends how you rank them, these are my top 3.

Manning to Harrison (SICK yardage/TDs, and counting!)

Montana to Rice (so classic, SBs)

Bradshaw to Swann (SBs)
