Greg Jennings Time (1 Viewer)

Ok, So Greg Jennings is really turning it on now. In my league Jennings ranks 16th in WR's in total scoring, but he also ranks 5th in Points per game. He missed the first 2 games of the season. So after 2 big games, the question is, do we keep him? Or trade him away? and if we let him go, what do we ask in return. I have been shopping him for a top TE for a while now, (Winslow? Clark?) but maybe he is worth more now? Or is he?

I know that you cannot discount the big plays when you look at the stats, but. The last two games saw an 85 Yard TD and a 60 yard TD. Will there be more of this?

Although Jennings ranks

16th in WR scoring

5th in Poins per game

He also only averages

4 receptions per game

So what is the story?

Let's here some other opinions.

Was this cut & paste from excel?

I would sell, Favre throws alot but there are four hungry receivers to feed, on any given week someone will get left out.

im going to hold, guy is going to get his yards...their offense is clicking...you dont have to sell every time one of your players does well, do you? you either drafted or traded well, ride it out IMO

Four Recievers?Driver and Jennings are 1/2Lee is 3 (sort of)Everyone else is far far behind. A guy who hasnt played in a year just knocked a guy off the team and made the FG pre season fav into mr. irrelevant.Jennings is the big play reciever catching balls from a big play quarterback. If you drafted him as your 5th reciever, you should ride him with confidence if you have a starter on bye week or need to fill a slot if you trade a better reciever for another need.

Jennings is Lee Evans with a HOF qb. If only had Evans been that lucky.
Im a Jennings fan, but his talent is not on the level of Evans - although Jennings has outstanding pad speed and deep ball tracking, and he already run routes like a vet. Evans is on a whole nuther level, one of the 5 or 6 most talented WRs in the league.edit to add: Oh yeah, no way you sell high - he's Favre's favorite deep target, and they clearly have timing and trust.

Just curious as to whether people held onto Jennings or sold a couple weeks back? Seems to be doing well so far this year with 9 Tds

I hold. The value you will receive in return will be less than he's worth. Unless someone is in dire need of a WR. The guy's a touchdown machine.

I actually ended up moving Driver and Benson for Jennings Bowe and Priest. Seemed like a good deal 2 weeks ago because I was short at WR and Adding Priest to the mix helped shore up my RB's. Even after yesterdays game I am happy with the end result. Even if Driver gets the receptions it looks like Favre is turning towards Martin and Jennings at the GL.

I have him in a league where we can only carry 4 WR's on our roster. My other 3 are Owens, Marshall and Hackett. Shoulda had Jennings in my lineup this week as my opponet started Favre. Damn. Hope Hackett's knee is ok and he finds the endzone. After the 2 td's Jennings had it's gonna be hard to sit him from now on. This is not a PPR league so his 60 yds and 2tds were gold. You probably won't get true value for Jennings in a trade and I'd keep him unless you really hurting at rb and need a starter. God knows there's been enough rb injuries this year.

sell high next year (for Dinasty Leagues)

Favre will not repeat this season

Why not? They will actually be better. They are still one of the youngest teams in the league. I may seel at the end of next year as that MAY be Favre's last.

Or he may just keep playing and put EVERY QB record out of reach.

In one of my leagues he was dropped week 2. He is Favre's favorite big play threat and Driver has become a possession receiver.

I kept Jennings in both of my leagues.

League 1: I was really forced into keeping him, I just wasn't offered anything of value. I think that it was probably because the only position I needed help in was TE and the guys with the top TE's weren't letting them go. Had Jennings on the bench this week though. Started AJohnson and Chad Johnson.

League 2: I have him starting for me every week. Nobody trades in this league :hophead:

Don't know why you would sell now or next season. The guy has ridiculous YAC. He can take a 5 yard slant to the house at any time. You don't need Favre to throw a 5 yard pass. I hold.

The scary thing is I tried to sell him high early on but nobody would bite. Turns out he is the real deal and he's become my most reliable WR. This guy is worth keeping.

He cost me early on in the season. I was banking on him as my #2/#3 WR.. lost a few games there with his injury issues...but its nice to see him come on now that things really matter.
