Because they have absolutely nothing after Driver and Jennings. And most of the rumor mongers are looking for something that sells copies and increases ratings. Favre + Moss does just that.

I hate to draw comparisons, but I am going to anyway. Greg Jennings reminds me alot of Robert Brooks.

billymays's projection is probobly a bit optimistic however I do think Jennings will emerge as a solid FF WR2 so finishing in the top 25 of all WRs. Unless somthing happens (such as a trade for Moss) that would displace him.

Jennings long term prospects are even better as he will eventualy take over the WR1 role from Driver.

He's still the #2 so don't overestimate his upside in '07.

Also, if K-Rob ever gets his #### together he could have an impact on Jennings' numbers.

I agree Koren could cause Jennings to share targets with more 3 WR sets.

I do really like Jennings but that has more to do with his long term prospects. It would be more accurate to say I expect him to be a solid WR3 with good upside to perform like a WR2.

they might be optimistic but, they really arent far off from his 06 stats if he had played all 16 games.the increase in TD's is my guess just from favre probably trusting him a bit more.

Uhhh...you just projected a 70% increase in yardage...that's taking into account the two missed games.

I do think Jennings is capable of reaching 73/1100/8 especialy with Favre as his QB. That is where I would probobly have his ceiling be.

With other mitigating circumstances taken into account, especialy that Driver is very likely to get the majority of targets in 2007 Jennings floor would be somthing like 53/633/4 however.

I need to see what happens in free agency and the draft before my projection range would tighten up from this.

I am optimistic about his center being closer to the ceiling figure than the floor figure.

ETA- as things stand right now Jennings is the clear #2 target in the Slacks offense that looks to be passing the ball a great deal again with uncertainty of Ahman Green returning. I do not see a rookie WR no matter how capable displacing him from that. Koren Robinson could take some targets if they use a lot of 3WR sets. Then there is speculation about a trade that could bump Jennings to WR3 but I find that possibility to be doubtful.

Driver had 167 targets in 2006

Jennings had 105 targets in only 11 games started.

Jennings missed 2 games, but the ankle limited him in others. He wasn't the same after the ankle injury.

hurt in week 7 in miami-didnt play rest of gamedidnt play week 8was hobbling in weeks 15 and 16 didnt play in week 17its not like he just missed two gamesjust pretend he was at USC 2 years ago and youll have no problem seeing my projections working for him ;)

He reminds me a lot more of Driver. He runs great routes, flies out of his breaks and catches the ball well.KRob will probably be back and they'll pick up another WR, maybe Steve Smith.

I'd bet my life on the under for yardage.
he was projected to have more than 1100 yards for the season(right with colston)at week 6 last year, then he got hurt in week 7.i really dont like to do projections my whole thing is the guy looked great the first bit of the season when everyone said he might struggle playing against the NFL talent.what would you project his yards at?

Good thing you didn't take the under on TD's.

Key Stats

GP Catches Yds Avg TDs First Downs

11 46 812 17.7 11 32

Not bad for a 10th round pick this year
