Greg Little Going Forward (1 Viewer)

Thanks to all those who promoted this guy in dynasty league rookie drafts. Was going to pass him up for Cam Newton....

No but really, he is looking very promising.

I actually watched that atrocious game last week and after it, I dropped Little (10 team nonppr). While he is extremely talented, Colt McCoy and that offense are staggeringly bad. I don't know what's up with them, maybe Hillis coming back will be the answer, but he won't be able to solve McCoy's inaccuracies as a passer or the lines inability to protect the young qb. I really thought Cleveland could make a statement this year, why I drafted Hillis and picked up Little...whatever.

I have faith in Holmgren but McCoy is really concerning me. Hopefully these are just some growing pains but it's frustrating watching some younger QBs have more success than McCoy.

ETA: I definitely wouldn't drop him in a keeper league. I'm holding him in a 12 team league with 8 bench spots. I know the second I drop him he'll have a huge game and I'll miss out on him on waivers.

I have no choice but to start him (Roddy is on bye). He'll put point up in PPR league but not much more. The QB situation is killing him that's for sure.

Last 4 weeks Little is averaging 9 targets per team game. That's 12th among WR's. Now it's true there are some names in that top 15 like Crabtree, Tampa Mike, & Doucet who do not produce, but by and large that is a group of the best WR's in the game, Roddy White, Maclin, AJ Green, Steve Smith CAR are just below Little, Lloyd, Nicks, LFitz, Calvin are just above him.

Seattle has a better defense than people give them credit for, even on the road. I think his 6/57 vs TEN and his 6/72 vs OAK is more like what to expect moving forward. He is lacking TD's right now. I think I would rather have Little than say a name like Holmes who can get absolutely disappeared in that Jets offense in any given game.

I am personally struggling whether to play Little or Brown/Sanders in one league. If Ward plays, I may likely go Little.

It's funny that you mention Little and Crabtree, because I've seen a lot of fantasy teams that have both players (myself included). I see them both in kind of the same light. They will probably get a number of targets and convert that into relatively low yardage totals. I think the normal production you can expect out of those two guys is probably around 5-6 catches for 50-60 yards. Personally, I'm happy with that production as a WR3 in a PPR league. I think if you expect 10-15 points a week and go in with that expectation, you'll be happy.

People need to remember that he's still a raw rookie, yet the light is starting to come on for him. I don't think with that conservative offense, Little is going to put up monster numbers, but the team is throwing the ball a lot and he is already emerging as the best option in the passing game.

I do see better days ahead.

In redraft, one thing to be mindful of his late season schedule. BALx2 and @PIT in Wks 13-16. CIN in Wk 12. Given how putrid CLE's offense has looked the last three weeks against teams like SEA, I just don't see a lot of production from Little when it matters down the road.

With no deep threat on that team, I see more "tons of targets, low catch percentage, 4-5 catches, low yardage" days ahead as Colt struggles to force the ball into tight windows on a compressed field.

Frustrating to own Little right now. The talent is there and he's flashed it, and he got 11 targets today, or 1 less target than Watson/Cribbs/Norwood combined, but they all still had more yards than him.

Not sure how much longer I can hold onto him because he seemingly runs a route longer than 10 yards only once every 3 drives

He will be ok. I still think McCoy is his biggest drawback.

Little is only worth having in dynasty leagues. I think the Browns will be shopping for another QB next season. McCoy cannot get the ball downfield.
