Sesame Street's Oscar the Grouch, who was originally orange in Sesame Street's first season, but was turned green before the second season, with the aforementioned vacation given as the reason for the color change.




3) This popular candy bar originally came in three different flavored pieces, one chocolate, one vanilla, and one strawberry, until the candy bar went all chocolate during World War II when the other flavors became hard to come by.

Three Musketeers, with the three different flavors being the inspiration for the name.
 
 
 
4) Though it will turn 105 years old on March 6th, 2017, this cookie is a knockoff of another well-known brand.

Oreos are a knock-off of Hydrox cookies, and not the other way around as many people today assume. Hydrox were introduced in 1908, and served as the inspiration for the Oreos which were introduced in 1912.

"You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch". Ravenscroft's name was accidentally left out of the credits of the animated classic, leading many to believe erroneously that the cartoon's narrator, Boris Karloff, sang the song.


8) In 1991, Wayne Allwine married Russi Taylor. Why was this a case of real life imitating art?

Allwine was the voice of Mickey Mouse and Taylor was the voice of Minnie Mouse.

"Milli" from the metric term for 1/1000. "Helen" being the Trojan War beauty about whom a famous play asked, "Was this the face that launched a thousand ships?"






11) Dr Ruth is a well known sex therapist and media personality. Around the age of 17 she received expert training for a particular occupation. Which occupation?

Sniper. She was already an excellent shot and due to her diminutive size was trained as a scout and sniper while serving in the military organization that later became the Israeli Defense Force.

Did reasonably well on this one:  got 1, 4, 5, 6

(also applies to j and has an even broader meaning),
, 9, and 13.  So 6/13.  Should have gotten 3 and 2; on 2, 

guessed Kermit.
