Gronkowski Week 1 (1 Viewer)

Am I missing something with Gronkowski being ranked around from the mid teens to the twenty's in PPR rankings by FBG and most other rankings. Is his minor pre-season injury still a problem?

I know PPR knocks him down some and Hernandez should not matter as he will get his anyway. All I kept hearing in training camp is that Gronko was looking like a man amongst boys and a standout in camp, also the redraft PPR rankings seem to have him in the top 5-10 for the season.

No opinions on Gronko, seems like his ranking in standard is also as a TE 2 this week.

Miami strong against a TE?

Or is it a matter of just too many TE options this year and the rankings will be all over the place?

It just seems odd that his ranking for the season is high but almost all rankings have him very low this week.

is he not a strong start this week? I had him penciled in, but have other options
I am starting him and am thinking 3-5 rec around 50 yards and a strong chance for a TD. For a TE, sounds good to me
he'd outscore Finley if he gets in the end zone

What I am hoping for from Gronk, considering where I drafted him, is something like what Marc Lewis put out last year. Let's say Hernandez gets the receptions this year, so what: as long as Gronk gets 2-3 plus a TD on average or just under per game that would be pretty darn good. NE's failure to bulk up their WR corps only seems to help. Brady's going to throw 30+ TD's, they have to go somewhere.

Miami has an excellent defense. Their safties and linebackers do a good job covering tight ends. I don't see a big yardage game from Gronk, but he is always a thread to score every game.

Gronk destroyed Miami in the second game last year. Didn't do much in the first. I believe Hernandez was out, but while watching that game, the Miami LBs sure didn't do a good job covering him.

Its possible that because he is like the 5th option they have him low.

I'm thinking Welker then Hernandez and or Gronko then 85 then RB's
