Guys on the WW or on your bench (1 Viewer)

Fantasy playoffs start this weekend, and for many of us, we are still looking for that waiver wire gem that joins your roster in time to advance you to the next round. To me, more than any week - this is the week where you play the matchups. In looking at the NFL schedule and trying to reconcile that with the waiver, owners are faced with the always tough decision of; a) sticking with your starters and hope they produce despite a poor matchup, or b) roll the dice on someone on the waiver wire or maybe on your bench. Here are some players I am considering trying to acquire before week 14;

Santana Moss - plays NE week 14

Chaz Schillens - injuries to Jacoby Ford/Denarius Moore could make him a valuable fantasy wr this weekend

Robert Meachem - maybe his big game last night was a prelude of things to come

Demaryus Thomas - hard to trust any Bronco wr, but he looked strong yesterday

Donald Driver - caught two tds yesterday and it appears the Pack are not taking the foot off the gas

I am sure we can list others, but these are guys that I am giving consideration to starting over the likes of; Dwayne Bowe vs. Jets, Mike Wallace vs. Browns and/or Miles Austin vs. his hammy.

Michael Crabtee has been on my bench for over a month, but I think that he may be the kind of guy to get you a win in the playoffs.

"Demaryus Thomas - hard to trust any Bronco wr, but he looked strong yesterday"

I would be wary with this one. Most of his stats came from 2 plays where the cb thought he had a safety over the top helping so he let him get wide open and then the scramble throw where he was again wide open for some reason. Also, last time D Thomas scored he went for 10 yards the next game. He's a risk you just can't take.

I've had Jonathan Stewart on my bench all but one week. Newton's keeps hogging all the goal-line action but Stewart could prove an able fill-in down the stretch esp if you (like me) lost Forte.

I just noticed that Matt Moore and Ryan Fitzpatrick are on the WW in my league. Fitzpatrick looked much better this week, probably due to the fact that Spiller finally played a decent game. Moore's just not an option that will go off but could be good given the matchup.

I just dropped Manningham for SMoss. His schedule looks great and Grossman has looked his way before.

I went with Santana over Nelson and DWill from Tenn. for what its worth.

Damian Williams of Tennessee is facing NO this week, and Nate Washington has an ankle injury. I'd add him to the list. I'm trying to pick two out of him, Santana Moss, and Laurent Robinson.

I co-own a team with a buddy and we've got a really deep bench.

RBs are: Steven Jackson, Ray Rice, Cedric Benson, Roy Helu, Reggie Bush, and CJ Spiller

WRs are: Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall, Stevie Johnson, Tampa Mike Williams

Playing 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and 1 flex, we're bound to have some serious points left on the bench. The trick is going to be trying to decide which guys to play each week.

We have Gronkowski for TE, but our QB is our weak spot by far. Thought we had a trade at the deadline but it fell through so we have to manage with Josh Freeman or Matt Moore which makes our decision on the RB and WR all the more critical that we get it right.
