Hakeem Nicks - Knee Injury? (1 Viewer)

Big Giant Fan don't own Nicks and I am not playing against him this week.If Clayton is calling him in doubt and uncertain at best why would Nicks owners try to convince themselves that everything is fine and he will play Monday night?Believe me I want him in there more than you but from what I am hearing ... It aint gonna happen!!!! Look at other options
nobody knows yet. game is a week away. get a better feel by the end of the week.

same thing happened last year leading up to a MNF game I believe against the Redskins. He played. Guy is tough. Only missed time when he had a compartmental FRACTURE.

It happened during the game yet he played through it and finished, catching a pass on the last drive.

He'll be ready to roll for MNF.

guys he didnt have a fracture or a bacteria problem last yr. it was called compartment syndrome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compartment_syndrome
Ugh, did we have to go back and revisit this? Talk about ugly. Anyway, it has seemed that Nicks has had a variety of ailments and most always ended up playing and playing well. There will definitely be more information out on this later in the week. Just hold tight until then.

I'm trying to play it safe putting in a waiver request for Gibson tonight in case I need to swap out Nicks at the last minute.

Nicks back at practice.

Hakeem Nicks - WR - GiantsHakeem Nicks (knee) returned to individual drills Friday, as expected."Looks good," said beat writer Mike Garafolo. "We'll see if he does any team work." All signs are pointing toward Nicks playing Monday night, but owners should check back to make sure he doesn't suffer a setback after battling swelling early in the week.Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter Sep 16 - 11:59 AM

Good News again. He's improved each day and has an extra day to help things. I don't see Nicks not playing.

Actually he missed team drills and may be a game-time decision

Hakeem Nicks (knee) did not participate in team drills at Giants practice Friday.Nicks only got work in individual drills. The Giants will not leave Hicks' availability for Monday night up to the player, rather making a determination based on their medical diagnosis. That indicates a full-blown game-time decision. Nicks, of course, is worth the wait if you can secure Domenik Hixon. The starter will square off with an extremely battered Rams secondary.
Looks like the GTD speculation is all Rotoworld's

These reports would worry me if I didn't own him last season, but I'm sure he'll be ready to go.

No team stuff for Nicks today. Maybe tomorrow. As for whether it's really Nicks' call, Coughlin said nope. Just some input. #nyg about 1 hour ago from Twitter for iPhone MikeGarafolo
