You left out the part where you left me at the golf course while I was taking a ####.
#### :lmao:  no way that really happened.

also was this the year we swung by home depot to pick up a bed only to have scupper realize he had nothing to tie it down with so we had to stick our arms out the window and hold it to the roof?

April 2003. Rotojunkie regular who peeked over the fence after @Chemical X posted "Are there any FootballGuys here?" post over there.

I had been married for just two years with my first kid about to be conceived. Spent a lot of time in GMTAN, too much time reading about the guy who simulated all of the Madden seasons, early baseball threads with mrharrrrrrrier,  and did my best to stay out of the Shark Pool (Cowboy gameday threads aside. Mookie!!!!). And I was miserable. Then one day I found the "Wife uses sex as a weapon" thread, and it changed everything. I used the thread to get into marriage counseling, and then finally getting a divorce, posting about every step of the way. Without the thread, and the people in it, I probably would have stayed miserable.

This board is full of negative contrarians, snobs of every kind, and some of the worst trolls this side of Reddit and 4chan, but it also has some amazing people who really care. Coshole will remain a top 10 weekend for me of all time. Unless this group does something even better.

Was this the same year it was 50 degrees for a high all weekend?

Or the year I missed my flight after making up shirts with Scupper's massive head on the back to play at his private club?

Or the year we did a Punt/Pass/Kick competition?  I know that was the same year as the cold snap.  @Tiger Fan and I cuddled by the fire at night.

ppk was the weekend without shuke I believe

I still can't believe you f'd up the shirts for the club :lmao:

How long has it been since Mellyhole?  Has to be 10 years now.

I forget which year it was, but we were playing a FBG :11: golf scramble.  Our group was Scupper, GM, Shuke, and me.  We are on the first tee (not an easy tee shot) and GM goes first and I think hit his drive about 25 feet.  Shuke then gets up there and shanks one I think out of bounds.  I go up and do the same and hit it OB.  I'm walking back and shuke says, "What the F do we do now?"  I say, "We watch Scupper blast one about 300 yards down the middle."

Scupper hits his drive right down the middle.  Shuke, "Ah.. I get it now."

GM then proceeded to pass out around the 12th hole.

Good times.  Needless to say, we did not win the scramble that day.
I think that was the day Tat and i were on fire. One of the rare times in my life when i was hitting my irons well. GfnB Tat for crunching his drives.

You were there.  Pickles had to come back and pick me up.  Everyone claimed they thought I was in another car.

I remember booking an early flight, just to be sure, but I thought 630 the whole time.  I was sure of it.  Woke up on time (I thought) and didn't even bother double checking until on the way to the airport.  Should've mailed those shirts out individually in retrospect, or maybe I should've just checked my itinerary for my 530 am flight.

I do remember that the rescheduling of flights let me have lunch with shuke in Cincy.

Also remember @Chemical X getting banned here, and maybe others.  @[icon] was on some fantasy baseball board (or just another fantasy site) mailing a stapler around to the dorks there.  I was quite sure we were going to intercept that thing, but either the whole thing fell apart or [icon] got wind of it.

I'm remembering that correctly, right?

f'n Jhoe. I think I'm still banned from the roto world thanks to that thread.

your memory sucks, pretty sure you missed your flight because you didn't realize you departed from a different time zone.

No.  My sister is the one who doesn't understand time zones.  I don't know what stories were told, but I clearly remember being on the way to the airport and looking at my ticket for the first time.

I remember @icon threatening me at my job..............think it was him.

I still can't feel any of the fingers on my left hand bc of that day.

I'm as free as a bird now

In less than one year you'll join Tim in the 100,000 posters club, then

:P
I had around 50k posts when this forum went to likes.  When was that?  Like four years ago?  I average about 6k posts a year, and 2k of those are in the Detroit Tigers thread.  I won't break 100k until 2019 and I'm not thinking I make it that long (not IRL, but on this forum).

C'mon, GB.  We need you to fill the black guy quota.

Quite a trip.

Where to GB?

Still stunning to me that 93% of respondents have been here more than a decade. Is there another site anywhere close, with as little interest from younger or new posters?  The audio cassette collectors club official website?

Generational thing I'm sure.  Down the road the millenials will be bragging about how they are still tweeting or instagramming or whatever.

I've been on board since 1991.  The first one I discovered was a bbs back as a freshman in college.  I still remember sitting in the computer lab on green screens, thinking what a novel concept.

You know, i'm glad i came back to you, FFA, and i was not unfaithful while i was away and really believe we've built something together and still find you attractive when you're not stubborn and maudlin and doing something about your cankles, but i'm curious - where would i go for some young strange? Now......don't cry...I.'m not leaving you or anything. Still wanna help raise timmy, swc and baby shuke. But is there a forum kinda like you with some youth in it that would find an ol hippie like me attractive? It's cruel to ask for suggestions, i know, and i'll only go on weekends while youre at your mothers but, is there? Do you know of such a place?

I'm pretty sure those are all the same person.

Naturally Curly I assume would be similar.   http://www.naturallycurly.com/curltalk/non-hair-discussion/

Go start another thread, I think some of their member migrated here after our road trip there.

Can FBGs make the old cheatsheets.net available?  I was there under a couple of names because I couldn't remember my password/board name but didn't post much and was over in the Shark Pool.  Pretty sure it was '99.  I thought I had found a goldmine for FF.  There wasn't much out there and was trying to gain an edge in my home league.

I didn't start dipping in here until '01 or so with the recipe sharing and food takes.

What year did fftdy start?  I had a two digit number on there.  I was on a Jim Rome smack chat board before that I believe. I was probably running netscape on Windows 95 at that point.
