Yes..but it turned into a tailgate party as all of us brought coolers of beer and cocktails for after.

3 so far. tonight will be 4.

masks on 100% of the time except for snacks and water. hand sanitizer at least once an hour.

Yes but it was in my small town. It was really small, maybe a hundred people. It was more to support a couple of my students than anything. It's nice to see the kids get out and make positive public statements. They had a Pride rally the next day and unfortunately 2 guys in a pick-up truck parked right in front of them at the park and used an incredibly loud speaker system to rant about all we are all going to hell because we allow gays in the country. The kids handled themselves well. They heckled but never escalated the situation despite some really vile things coming from the 2 men in the bed of the truck.

Out of curiosity how much do you have to bring with you? I would make a huge mistake probably only bring 1 bottle of water and totally forget about snacks etc. It’s not like you can buy stuff

A lot. big hydroflask of water, snacks, sweatshirt, goggles, extra face mask, flask, sanitizer, my sign. But I also have extra gear because I've been biking downtown.

I went to one that was down the street from my house but just stood and watched and didn't participate.  Screaming expletives at police officers isn't my cup of tea.

OK good. Then for those of us who think banning those things are a good thing, these protests were certainly not, as you said, "a complete waste of time"
For me, they would have been a complete waste of time.  I am allowed to speak for my feeling on this right?

No - but I have undertaken several substantive actions to curtail police brutality and correct law enforcement mis-action.

I have no problem with people protesting peacefully but it's just not my thing.

No. My 15 year old wanted to go to a prayer vigil for a black citizen that was recently killed by the police in AZ but I said no. I appreciate wanting to do something but I'm not putting myself or my family out there in the middle of a pandemic or in a situation that can turn violent.

Tell him thanks for being inconsiderate and endangering public health.
He ended up not being able to come to work for 2 weeks. So he isnt being paid right now.

He was also allowed to get 2x negative tests to prove he is ok, but chose not to.

My wife and I did walk to a protest in our downtown area..of course it turned into a "tailgate" type situation where people were drinking and having a good time before and after.

Went to a protest march this past weekend in twin cities. Masks were required, although unsure how they could enforce that.  Anyway, there were probably 2000 people? Saw a couple kids with no masks, otherwise everyone was covered up

As someone that cares for my family, co workers, and community members I may pass in the grocery or other limited public places I can't avoid I have chosen not to congregate.

No...but If I did, I would make damn sure to take a selfie of myself while I was there then post it on Facebook showing EVERYONE how woke a I really am!!

It's all about the LIKES!!
