The stupidest over-used phrase in the SP. It needs to go. Let's work to put an end to it.
Having said that, I disagree. The stupidest over-used phrase in the SP. It needs to go. Let's work to put an end to it.
I agree with what you're saying. Having said that, there is a pet peeve thread you might be interested in.The stupidest over-used phrase in the SP. It needs to go. Let's work to put an end to it.
And what the SP is not: a literary gathering. We should still take a little more pride in our writing.Good point. Having said that, I don’t know what the SP is.
Move it to the pet peeve forum guyI agree with what you're saying. Having said that, there is a pet peeve thread you might be interested in.
Since we're on the subject of pet peeves, how about posters who go into a thread to complain about it. Especially in the Free for all forum. Just move on instead, or go call the cops on some loiterers at the gas station or something.Move it to the pet peeve forum guy
There's many variations. They all need to go.Kill off its stupid little brother "That said..." too. With fire. Or a hammer.
Tool on another board I used to haunt would say "none the less". Drove me freaking batty.Nonetheless, he makes a good point.
About the free part.....Since we're on the subject of pet peeves, how about posters who go into a thread to complain about it. Especially in the Free for all forum. Just move on instead, or go call the cops on some loiterers at the gas station or something.
And I didn't see a pet peeve forum.
Yeah. I hate "at the end of the day". Awful.Almost as bad as at the end of the day.

It's right hereSince we're on the subject of pet peeves, how about posters who go into a thread to complain about it. Especially in the Free for all forum. Just move on instead, or go call the cops on some loiterers at the gas station or something.
And I didn't see a pet peeve forum.
For the most part, I agree. But if we could drill down re: granularity, i really think i think we can move the ball forward for the guys in prod. My ask would be a 3-point plan, just a view from 30,000 ft., but would be willing to take it offline."I'd say this: At the end of the day, all things being equal, using 'having said that' vis-a-vis getting granular while thinking outside the box, there has been a real paradigm shift towards 360 degree thinking that really has legs and totally moves the needle. Suggest we take this offline to vet further and leverage our assets before pushing the envelope.

that's some bit of efforting there. hope it brings about a sea change.I'd say this: At the end of the day, all things being equal, using 'having said that' vis-a-vis getting granular while thinking outside the box, there has been a real paradigm shift towards 360 degree thinking that really has legs and totally moves the needle. I'll circle back.I'd say this: At the end of the day, all things being equal, using 'having said that' vis-a-vis getting granular while thinking outside the box, there has been a real paradigm shift towards 360 degree thinking that really has legs and totally moves the needle. Well honestly I don't really have a plan. That's the whole reason I started this thread, sort of a brain storming session. But all I'm getting out of it is mockery. For the most part, I agree. But if we could drill down re: granularity, i really think i think we can move the ball forward for the guys in prod. I could care less.Wikepedia
Irregardless:
Irregardless is a word sometimes used in place of regardless or irrespective which has caused controversy since the early twentieth century, though the word appeared in print as early as 1795. Most dictionaries list it as nonstandard or incorrect usage, and recommend that "regardless" be used instead.
I dismiss this...these days, "that said" is the most effective way to combat being dismissed as a hatah
Like I said, I could literally care less. You took the time to reply.
The task has hardly been completed. It's going to take a lot of work from everybody.I'm glad you nipped this in the butt before it drove us all crazy.
I liked this, but you are wrong.Almost as bad as at the end of the day.
Which brings me to my next pet peeve, misuse of "literally". This should really have a thread of it's own, but I can only work towards one cause at a time.Like I said, I could literally care less.
I didn’t come up with this but...I'd say this: At the end of the day, all things being equal, using 'having said that' vis-a-vis getting granular while thinking outside the box, there has been a real paradigm shift towards 360 degree thinking that really has legs and totally moves the needle. It's been mentioned. This is more of a cause than a pet peeve.Isn't there a pet peeve thread where this should go in?
The SP?The stupidest over-used phrase in the SP. It needs to go. Let's work to put an end to it.
I had a meeting last week and every other sentence was some form of buzzphrase like this. It doesn't really bother me, I just find it interesting.I'd say this: At the end of the day, all things being equal, using 'having said that' vis-a-vis getting granular while thinking outside the box, there has been a real paradigm shift towards 360 degree thinking that really has legs and totally moves the needle.
