You could think it reasonable... but you would be wrong. The vast majority of the time, replay will get the thing straight. If you act like a jack wagon - and lose 15 yards - your chance at a TD are nil if you don't get the call. they can fix the game clock too...His running onto the field had NOTHING to do with wanting the play reviewed. Hometown clock operators were trying to run the game clock down to 0 even after a called incomplete pass. I think it's reasonable to run out screaming when you see your chance for points unfairly ticking away.Every time I watch the 49ers, Harbaugh seems to make a mistake... Today he cost his team 15 when you know the play will be reviewed. Other times he botches challenges... didn't he run on the field as well when Atlanta was attempting a FG (down by 10) with just a few seconds left?Seriously though, he's a good coach, no doubt. But until he has the hardware, it means that he's got a good team, nothing more. George Allen never gets mentioned in the GOAT conversation despite having a better win% than anyone not named Lombardi or Madden. Coffee is for closers.
Again, in starting in less than two seasons, he has now a 4-2 post season record. The two losses are a few plays short of making two comebacks.Drummer, have you ever, in you life, admitted you were wrong? Ever? Cause Kaep looks lost. I think you are wrong.

I give him credit for being more of a project QB than a polished Pro Ready QB for at least achieving that.
To be honest, I'm putting this more on Harbaugh and Roman. As soon as they could they put him in the offense and literally let him run with it, adding a lot more plays and pretty much changing the offense on the fly. Harbaugh is a supposed QB Guru, but over the past three seasons the 49ers have had a mediocre passing offense. The design of the passing offense is just stupid. They have Kaep lining up in pistol, shotgun, as well as under center. He has a lot of offense thrown at him each week, and even this game they made adjustments on the fly to deal with the crowd noise. Overall Kaep seemed to be able to handle the crowd and being on the road in SEA even after turning the ball over during the 4th quarter to get them into a position to win. He made a great pass to Gore on a critical 4th down. Even then, Harbaugh failed to put him in a position to win because he had time outs and didn't use them.Fair enough. But do you not think that the team could have benefitted more from a vet? He's not improving as a passer or in reading defenses. His legs and fastball are other worldly, but he lacks the requisite mental skills to really put a team on his back. Maybe he can learn those.

Crazy start I saw earlier: Kaep has 2 more road playoff wins (3) than Young and Montana combined (1).I blame the coaching staff for this one. Use a friggin time out, collect yourself, and call a play that doesn't go to Sherman. Yes, the read and throw were on Kaep, but for God sake, take the time out, calm your QB down and call something else. He didn't have to take a shot at the end zone there, and certainly not to Sherman's side.Again, in starting in less than two seasons, he has now a 4-2 post season record. Kaeps numbers weren't great, but he played much better than his last 2 trips to Seattle, and the crowd didn't seem to affect him much. Had the run game been working I'm sure the passing game would have opened up a bit and he wouldn't have had to force throws as much. Bruce Millers absence was noticeable.
with that said, I thought Harbaugh was pretty gracious in the post-game.Yup. In the postseason, Young was 0-3 on the road and Montana (as a 49er) was 1-3. I could care less, I poked into the thread, saw your what I surmised as opinion of Kaep at this point in his career wrote my entire opinion on the matter in a short concise response and you seemed confused so I clarified. I think those earplugs worked well, the whole team was much better vs the crowd noise tonight. Eminence should wait until a few other people pimp the company's stock that makes them, and then put it in his stock tips thread.Crazy start I saw earlier: Kaep has 2 more road playoff wins (3) than Young and Montana combined (1).I blame the coaching staff for this one. Browns owner Jimmy Haslam confirmed at the Combine that his team did attempt to acquire Jim Harbaugh from the 49ers earlier this offseason.
The 49ers' front office has vehemently denied talks occurred, but Haslam didn't back down when pressed by USA Today's Jarrett Bell. "There was an opportunity there, and it didn't materialize," said Haslam. It's entirely unclear what sort of compensation San Francisco was seeking, but pretty clear at this point that the Niners may be headed for a divorce with Harbaugh, probably after next season. It's worth noting Dolphins owner Stephen Ross pursued Harbaugh aggressively when he was leaving Stanford. Current Fins GM Dennis Hickey and coach Joe Philbin are believed to be a lame-duck pairing entering 2014.

The National Football Post's Jason Cole expects the Dolphins to pursue Jim Harbaugh next offseason, "barring a Super Bowl win by the 49ers."
That should help Joe Philbin sleep at night. According to Cole, the "rumor was already out there," and "only got stronger this weekend." Cole's report runs concurrent to one from CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, who passed along Monday that the "feeling within the organization is that Harbaugh is not going to be a 10-year coach with the 49ers." San Francisco has re-emerged as one of the league's elite franchises, but it's got a serious issue on its hands.

I'm curious about this statement, mostly regarding Baalke. Obviously, his success isn't only dictated by the draft but it certainly is a big part of it. Having said that, here's his drafts by year/round:SF is in a tough position, because both Baalke and Harbaugh have done a bang-up job. Not sure which is easier to replace either, but the fact that Baalke is not getting fired (unless you can trade a GM) tells a lot about who the problem child is in the relationship. Sad thing is, SF loses either way.
Agree. I'm not a fan or a hater on Harbaugh but it is hard to dispute his body of work. He basically took the same players Singletary had and morphed them into an instant contender with a clear identity.I'm curious about this statement, mostly regarding Baalke. 2011/1: Aldon Smith (great pick)
2011/2: Colin Kaepernick (great pick)
2011/3: Chris Culliver (torn ACL, was a starter in 2012)
2011/4: Kendall Hunter (meh)
2011/5: Daniel Kilgore (ok)
2011/6: Ronald Johnson (not on team)
2011/6: Colin Jones (not on team)
2011/7: Bruce Miller (great pick)
2011/7: Mike Person (not on team)
2011/7: Curtis Holcombe (not on team)
Overall, a very good draft.
2012/1: A.J. Jenkins (bust)
2012/2: LaMichael James (said to not be a fit on team)
2012/4: Joe Looney (not a starter)
2012/5: Darius Fleming (two years of torn ACLs in the offseason)
2012/6: Trenton Robinson (not on team)
2012/6: Jason Slowey (not on team)
2012/7: Cam Johnson (not on team)
Overall, an extremely poor draft.
2013/1: Eric Reid (great pick)
2013/2: Tank Cardadine (incomplete due to injury)
2013/2: Vance McDonald (not asked to do much; not a big factor: I give it a poor grade)
2013/3: Corey Lemonier (they are stacked at LB and he wasn't used)
2013/4: Quinton Patton (ended the year with 3 catches)
2013/4: Marcus Lattimore (incomplete)
2013/5: Quinton Dial (not used)
2013/6: Nick Moody (not used)
2013/7: B.J. Daniels (not on team)
2013/7: Carter Bykowski (practice squad)
2013/7: Marcus Cooper (not on team)
One big contributor in 2013 and one who saw worthwhile playing time.
Of course, you can't look at all of this until a few years down the road but right now he's hit the mark in 1/3 drafts. The 49ers are stacked so it is difficult for rookies to contribute right off the bat, but the 49ers certainly had holes to fill, specifically with WR.
On the other hand, Harbaugh took a lineup that was loaded and severely underperforming and got them to perform (maybe even exceed) hitting the NFC CG all three years and a SB in one. Harbaugh might very well be the problem, but at least he's doing his job. It's interesting that the 49ers were stacked ahead of Baalke with Scot McCloughan as GM, who is now with the Seahawks (and their drafts are viewed as exceeding expectations yearly).
This, corroborated by local SF radio.Harbaugh wins despite Baalke. It's Baalke the 49ers are trying to sell in all this. Unless his 2013 and 2014 draft bears real fruit, he really is overrated as GM.
If that is the case i would recommend figuring out that contract extension pronto, if harbaugh wins despite a bad GM he is worth every penny he is asking for. Get him a good GM and he oculd make a dynastyThis, corroborated by local SF radio.Harbaugh wins despite Baalke. It's Baalke the 49ers are trying to sell in all this. Most folks here know that Baalke has whiffed in the draft outside of a few notable picks.
Well, that would mean a bite to Parag Marathe, who has been in a greater position of power ever since the Terry Donahue fiasco. He's Jed's right hand man. Baalke is Marathe's guy. Marathe has always tried to emulate NE's model of roster and management of it with contracts and the player's value reflecting it. The problem is they both don't know offense. Hell, Singletary had to keep Baalke away from Jimmy Clausen. He forced Taylor Mays on them though, lol.If that is the case i would recommend figuring out that contract extension pronto, if harbaugh wins despite a bad GM he is worth every penny he is asking for. Thought the same thing.Gotta love Haslam just outright confirming everything.
So hey GM's if in the future you want to do some dealing under cover of night (just in case things don't work out)... don't be calling ol' Jimmy.
Or Game of Thrones.Paraag Marathe sounds like a name from a Star Wars movie. There is no way that's real.
Your "harsh" is most rational people's "delusional".To be honest, I'm putting this more on Harbaugh and Roman. I think they know what they have in Kaep, but I don't see them doing much to help him improve. GM Trent Baalke crapped the bed with his 2012 draft, Kaep had only one WR in Boldin most of the season, the 2013 draft has a lot of inactive players, and Gore hit a wall this game. A Vet QB would have to be on the level of Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers to deal with that. Andrew Luck knows the Harbaugh offense, so he would fit right in too. But they all play for other teams.
I give Kaep one more year, and then see what they do with him. You can ask any 49er fan here about what I have thought about Kaep this season, and they'll attest that I have been harsh on him late in the season.
A source with inside knowledge of the 49ers told the San Francisco Chronicle that coach Jim Harbaugh's "act has worn thin" inside the team's locker room, particularly among "face of the 49ers" type players.
The 49ers have been able to overcome the friction due to winning, but the Chronicle's Ann Killion suggests "a few losses could expose a widening rift." This is the first report of players having problems with Harbaugh. To this point, it's only been reported that Harbaugh doesn't get along with GM Trent Baalke. It's becoming very clear 2014 will be Harbs' final year with the 49ers.

I see a 30 for 30 movie in about 20 years. It could go one of two ways. First Harbaugh leaves and goes to the Jaguars, Browns or something and takes that team to new heights and the 49er's fall back into obscurity or second Harbaugh leaves and flops as a coach and the 49ers continue to be one of the NFL's best franchises. Either way I will watch it.This is going to end in tears...
