HC Jim Harbaugh, LAC (2 Viewers)

The fact that there were rumors in preseason about a rift suggests there was a conflict despite the record. Seriously dude, your posts don't stand up to scrunity.
That conflict goes bye bye if he's winning. But gets magnified when he isn't. Do you seriously think if the 49ers ar 10-3 right now we'd be talking about him getting fired? Come on man.

No doubt in my mind. They did not offer Harbaugh a contract extension last off season, after coming off an appearance in the NFC championship. Now that the team is underperforming it makes the task a lot easier. I live locally so I get exposure to a lot more info from the local talk shows and rags. There is a very strong sense that there is discord between entire front office and Harbaugh--from the GM all the way up to the owner.

Like I said previously your posts just do not stand up to scrutiny.

Ok. Maybe you are right and your have a lot of sources that are only available locally.

I think we are all in agreement that Harbaugh is a very good x's and o's guy. I think just how good he is, is up for debate. I think we all also agreem that his personality and ego far outstrip his value as an x's and o's guy. I think he has pissed in just about everybody's cornflakes all the way up and down the chain in SF. Neither management nor players seem to have his back.

I think his next pro stop (if there is one) will dictate his legacy.

I disagree. I view this situation as similar to Jimmy Johnson/ Jerry Jones. It's a personality/conflict/power issue and not necessarily the coaches fault...not that the coach isn't great. 2/3 of the NFL would love to have him as their coach.

You keep bringing up ego issues, what are they? What has he demanded? I'm honest as I would like to hear them.

If the people in SF let their egos get in the way enough to get rid of the only coach in years to bring them success, they get what they deserve. Oakland Raiders 2.0. I'd say Dallas Cowboys 2.0, but Jim Harbaugh obviously wasn't quite as successful as Jimmy Johnson.

Why do you think he's on the hot seat?

Ah, so you don't know and are wasting everyone's time. I'm done here, fish other people

Harbaugh is on the hot seat because of a disagreement with the front office over the roster, for one. And there is a lot of merit to his objection to some of Bslkes draft choices. Cue Drummer boy...

Gonna use my arms

Gonna use my legs

Gonna use my style

Gonna use my sidestep

Gonna use my fingers

Gonna use my, my, my imagination

'Cause I gonna make you see

There's nobody else here

No one like me

I'm special so special

I gotta have some of your attention give it to me

Got rhythm I can't miss a beat

Got new skank it's so reet

Got something I'm winking at you

Gonna make you, make you, make you notice

Or me for that matter. I guess I don't understand what people think Harbaugh is on the hot seat for. I tend to think it's because he's a tool.

Good grief dude, being a tool has nothing to do with why he is on the hot seat. It is a personality conflict. If being a tool could get you fired Then Belichick would have been fired years ago. Sounds like you have a personal issue with him.

Wow. Ok, I'll amend. He's a tool who hasn't won the Super Bowl.

I thought Sabertooth was a Packers fan...

Anyway, you all are arguing the same basic point. The "problem" with Harbaugh was that he's difficult to work with, which everyone puts up with when the team is winning. At the first sign of problems though people are going to jump off that bandwagon and we're seeing that: the owner, GM, and team all seem to be throwing him under the bus. Is it fair? Yes and no.

But I do think the SF team will go through a big overhaul when this is all done. The window will be closed this Sunday.

I am not a 9er fan, but I think Harbaugh is a very good coach. He has an impressive track record as a coach, and as a Raider fan I would be very excited if he was the hire. That said, he certainly is a lightning rod for criticism, somewhat similar to Parcells in that regard. I completely undstand how he might be viewed as a tool. I have always found him very entertaining. But make no mistake about it, the dude can coach.

I remember SEA fans crying HOLMGONE back in the day...

How realistic is a Harbaugh trade? It would appear that there's interest from the Dolphins and Raiders at him being their head coach. Any chance the Niners could get something in return?

I suspect if there is a market for him the possibility of a trade is good. I don't think they will get much but this is an interesting situation.

So Drummer where exactly do you stand on Kap and Harbaugh. Do you think Kap still has potential for elite status? Do you want to see Harbaugh go?
Did you read my post on Baalke's 2011 draft? I pretty much explained it there. The 49ers are mess due to once again, bad FO decisions. Kaep is the fastest offensive player on the team. I posted how I love a huge arm, yet I hated when Carmen Policy drafted Jim Druckenmiller over Jake Plummer to spite Bill Walsh, who although wasn't with the franchise at that point, preferred Plummer.

I don't want to repeat what I post in the 49er thread here. Just go read my posts there, and we can discuss it more in that thread.
I don't think you honestly believe this, but if you do it says a lot about your love for this guy.
