HC Nick Sirianni, PHI (1 Viewer)

Eagles are one (EASY!) dropped pass from 3-1, and this conversation doesn't even start. There are warts, but it seems premature to even be talking about it. Finish with 7 wins and look like that team in TB yesterday through much of it, and maybe it happens. Lurie isn't THAT quick to make changes, especially if the guy still seems to have the support of the players, which Nick does
Heck using that talking point the Giants are a rostered kicker and dropped pass away from being 3-1
A wise man once said "You are what your record says you are"
Fair, but this early in season the record can certainly be misleading. It isn't like Philly opponents have all been bottom dwellers

There has been a lot of change in Philly, and they are dealing with pretty important injuries. I can not judge him right now. It is week 5. This is a better discussion after this season and in the postseason. I hope they will let this breathe and table it for the meetings to review the season, the past seasons, and the future they envision; a big part of this would be who would be available to hire at that point. There is way too much football to be played, and I would like to see what they can do when a bit healthier. All teams deal with injuries, but losing Brown and Smith affects the offense and the overall game plan for the offense. Barkley has been a godsend so far.

It's just a little annoying for the smaller markets to be continuously ignored. I get that Tampa laid an egg against Denver, but they've beaten 3 NFC contenders, they blew two of them out, and went toe to toe with the favorite in the NFC on their field. This all without Winfield, Kancey, and their starting RT. Nobody mentions the injuries Tampa is winning in spite of though.

That's why we should have a thread on Bowles!

Agreed. I am interested in Bowles' movement. :ponder:
I see what you did there.

Good coach or not (and what he has done has been impressive), he still has the most punchable face in the NFL.
Do you feel better now. I mean, what is the purpose of this post if for no other reason than to put a smile on your face as you reflect how funny you must obviously be.

His team got punched in the face so many times without punching back he needs to act tough and imagine what it would be like?

Maybe I am reading too much into it, but during the post game interview when Sirianni was talking about Hurts it seemed very awkward. When the cameras went to Hurts and he smiled it looked very uncomfortable to me.

That was Hurts s**t-eating-grin. Try not to read too much into it.

Big fan of the I Just Gobbled Percs Grin, but the S*** Eating one is a good one too

It is quite interesting that the way KC/PHI got to the SB versus 2022 both required them to change the headline of their identities.

Mahomes was coming off a 5250/41/12 season. Hurts emerged as a top tier QB himself, perhaps only losing the MVP because of a couple of games missed at the end of it.

Two years later, the 2024 versions of these teams are quite a bit different. One is helmed by an HC starting to challenge for GOAT status. The other is Sirianni who like it or not persevered thru alot of public chatter about his ability as an HC to get here. And I think this PHI team is better than 2022.

They seem to have real odd vibe. I'm not going to go over it all but seems to me Sirianni is constantly trying to publicly praise Hurts while Hurts keeps taking subtle digs at him. Just my opinion, but always felt this centered around Brian Johnson.
