Heat Could Be A Factor Week 1 (1 Viewer)

We saw it last night with Texas LSU. We could see a bunch of folks cramping up, getting IV, etc.

Big story locally as temps in JAX expected to be 98 with 40% humidity at gametime.

Tampa is a 4 PM start but 93 at gametime there.

Charlotte is calling for 94.

Miami must be closer to Jet Stream because they're a brisk 89.

If you're going to the games please take care of yourself. Plenty of water or Gatorade, take it easy on alcohol (you'll just sweat it out anyway), sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.

Wide brim hat, none of that baseball cap nonsense, in this type of sun go full farmer Ted.

Heat is the reason why people who think the Ravens are going to travel down to Miami and obliterate the Dolphins may be fooling themselves.  Sure the Ravens likely will win, but playing in that heat in dark colors will drain them. I expect that game to be closer than people think.  I’d take the Dolphins with the points against the spread even if it’s supposed to be a “brisk” 89 degrees in Miami.

I just did 20 minutes of yard work in the shade. Covered in sweat.  Time for shirt #2.
I haven't checked the forecast for the Colts v Chargers but it's been running 80+ degrees with 70% humidity all week in San Diego.  And that's on the coast.  I don't remember moving to Florida but apparently it happened.

Chargers "stadium" is about 90 or so miles north and a little inland.

Just checked and it's forecasted for about 78 degrees and the current humidity is 80%.

I could be wrong about this.

@JFRDJAX: 86 medical calls in the stadium today ...18 people transported to the hospital...I’d say our crews worked hard today!
