HEATING UP / COOLING DOWN (1 Viewer)

HEATING UP:

CJ SPILLER

Boy is that kid fast, I'll take him as my RB2 all day.

EMMANUAL SANDERS

It's never a bad thing to be on the field with Peyton Manning. If you do your job, he'll do his.

COOLING DOWN:

ZAC STACY

I'm not convinced that Stacy has as much job security as is currently being perceived. If he does start, I think he'll give you an E. James in Arizona type season.

CAMERON JORDAN

Brian Hoyer looked awful. With Josh Gordon gone, Defenses may be able to double team Cameron if he does prove to be a consistent threat. I do see the upside there but I'm not willing to draft him as early as he's going.

I would add Lamar Miller to the cooling down list. After last night, it looks like Moreno is in line for a good amount of work and is likely the GL back.

Hearing up, Jake Locker. He looks more accurate then ever and with his rubbing ability, a proven OC and a nice selection of weapons, a healthy Locker could be a top 10 QB.

UP: Brady / Russell Wilson / Ryan Matthews / Vereen / MJD / E Sanders / K. Benjamin / Kelce (KC)

DOWN: Kaepernick / L. Bell / Z Stacy / Colston / Fitzgerald / Vernon Davis

Why is Colston down?
Mostly off age / durability and that Saints have so many players there -- Graham, Cooks and Stills coming up, Ingram supposedly looking good, Thomas going to fill the Sproles roll -- just a lot of players to spread the ball around.

The DE that plays for the Saints???

With Moore and Sproles gone I could see Brees leaning a tad more on Colston this year as they clearly have the most chemistry. He's currently being drafted as a low-end WR3 (33rd WR off the board) which is awfully low for a dude who we're used to seeing put up low-end WR1/WR2 #s on a yearly basis. Injury concerns will always be there but if the second half of last year is any indication, the wheels haven't fallen off yet. I say he's good for his 80/1000/8 stat line this year.

Colston is going as WR30 in the 7th round. To me, that screams value. Stills at this point is nothing more than the previous Henderson/Meachem role deep threat, and Cooks took Lance Moore's spot and added some upside. I like him, but current ADP data has him literally going within a few picks of Colston. Give me Colston all day at that price.

And I havent targetted Fitz since Warner left but dont see why he's any more "down" this yr than previous years.

His stint shooting pron in the offseason has lead to his rubbing ability being more accurate, the face is his top target.

He seems much more comfortable in the pocket, has a clean release, and isn't afraid to push it deep. When all else fails, there are few at the position that can improvise on the rub like Jake Locker. If you let him get around the end or find a gap up the middle, he can really hurt you.

I dunno. I remember something about going blind that accentuates other senses.

How is Cunningham cooling down?
When did he warm up?
When he was the starter yesterday
Don't you think this is a major overreaction? The Rams have no need to "dress rehearse" Stacy. With the Recent Pead injury, maybe the Rams just wanted to see Cunningham with the ones - as Fisher says...

Would anyone really be excited about Cunningham in a committee with Stacey & Mason?

I can see people blowing a lot of draft picks looking for agendas in every preseason game.

Obviously Fisher started Cunningham with the first team because he's looking to see if he looks better than Stacy with the ones....bottom line any coach starting a backup with the first team when the starter is not hurt is looking for production from that position, it's been going on all preseason. If he was protecting Stacy from injury, by chance, then he wouldn't have played him last night at all.

OK, Captain Obvious. Why did the Patriots put Mallett in for a 1st quarter drive? Challenge Brady?

seems as if B. Cooks is cooling down, did he play yesterday?

Bob Griffin

L. Green

heating up

R. Randle

Bortles

Chris Johnson

Ray Rice

R. Jennings and Andre Williams

D. Herron, Colts soon-to-be opening day starter at RB

Fisher was asked why he started Cunningham. He said he wanted to give him a chance to run with the 1's. It means nothing.

Cooks didn't play because he has a stomach virus all week.

This is obviously a touchy subject for you.

Cunningham started over stacy and outperformed him how could this be anything but positive for Cunningham?

By the way "The Rams have no need to "dress rehearse" Stacy" ... but they did? He had 5 carries for 11 yds.

Fwiw, I've heard multiple times that Cunningham has outperformed Stacy in camp. I don't know that it will translate to the regular season, but I probably wouldn't put him in the cooling down category quite yet...at least until we see a regular season game where he only gets a handful of carries.

Jamal Charles, lynch, and lacy all averaged under 2ypc last pre season also.

While true, they also weren't on the bench on the first drive like Stacy was...

This thread is about who is heating up and who is cooling down.

Cunningham started the game and performed really well ...it looks like he has locked himself into at minimum the handcuff and possibly more.

Someone posted that he is cooling down following that game ... I thought I missed an injury or big fumble so I asked how he is cooling down?

Stacy's role as a starter is not quite as secure Jamal Charles, Lynch, and Lacy

I think most people see the emergence of Floyd as the reason for the "down" in Fitz. Basically, it seems many are presuming a shift in targets.

I actually think the emergence of John Brown hurts them both slightly.
