Help - tie breaker on rtsports.com (1 Viewer)

We use rtsports to host our league.   our bylaws state that a weekly tie breaker is one designated bench player.  However, rtsports doesn’t give us the option to make only bench players tie breakers.   It’s either anyone on the roster or no one.   It was never an issue until this last week.    

team A tied team B   (85.24 - 85.24)

Team B did not select a tie breaker.  

Team A mistakenly chose a starter as a tie breaker which is invalid according to our bylaws.   Therefore the game should have ended in a tie.  

Since rtsports doesn’t distinguish tie breakers as starters or bench players, team A got a victory.   As commissioner,  I tried to adjust the game but rtsports doesn’t allow me to remove the tie breaker from team A.   The only adjustment I can make is adding or subtracting points.   I emailed and called rtsports to see if they could remove the tie breaker, but I haven’t heard back from them.  

How would you resolve this issue?  There are a lot of playoff implications with these two teams.  

The result I need is that both teams have a tie.

I don't use rtsports, so can't comment on their interface, but a general answer:  worst case, you can do it "old school" and just manually set the playoff matchups to what they should be, once the playoffs come around.  Track the correct standings on the message board in the meantime.

You said you couldn't remove the tiebreaker...can you edit it?  If so, add one for team B that outscored team A's choice.

rtsports won't allow me to edit the tie breakers either.  I wish Rtsports would respond to me.  they're usually pretty good at responding in a timely manner.

If you can't resolve, just track the standings manually for those two teams and set the playoff matchups by the corrected standings. Don't see much of an issue.
